How much does the 2014 Hyundai Sonata cost?

There are 96 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Hyundai Sonata earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its sporty performance, stylish design, and good fuel efficiency, and many also highlight its value for money along with useful features such as heated and power seats and a rearview camera. In practical terms, that makes it a solid fit if you want a midsize sedan with a roomy back seat, a good-sized trunk, and a more upscale feel than many rivals. With 17.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to reliability, with many drivers describing the car as dependable and a good value over time. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition, because long-term ownership risk depends heavily on how well the car was cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Sonata?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 17.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 96 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 35.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $6,797 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $6,797 CAD sits slightly below last year's $10,587 CAD.

For a future seller, that kind of drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make near-term resale more challenging if prices keep easing. On the other hand, the lower entry price may help support demand from value-focused shoppers who want a well-equipped midsize sedan without paying a premium. If you buy carefully and keep the car in strong condition, you give yourself a better chance of protecting value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 17.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 35.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a sensible choice if you want a stylish, well-equipped midsize sedan and you can find one with a clean history and solid maintenance records. If your priority is stretching your budget, this year’s softer pricing makes it worth a close look; if you want the best value, focus on the cleanest example you can find rather than chasing the cheapest listing.
