Rear tires wearing out fast on inside tread; alignment guy is stumped; nothing to adjust he says. Please help!

Asked by AngelfanDan Mar 02, 2014 at 08:34 PM about the 2004 Kia Rio Cinco

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My stepson is going through rear tires he cannot afford on his 2004 Kia Rio Cinco.  The
tire guys says he has no idea why; there is nothing to adjust or align on the rear axle.
Thinks there must be something bent, but can't see it.  Any suggestions?

Take it to a body shop that has a frame machine and see if there's frame damage. The tire guy is right. Something is bent.

no, nothing bent, it's a manufactory problem. the rear is not adjustable. it mean you sould "never" need alignment on rear. BUT, if needed, the only thing is put a uneven gasket, you could find it on the market just for this kind of car this kind of problem.
