Inside, the RX offered a minimalist and contemporary cabin, with the RX 350h featuring luxurious Macadamia leather and Ash Bamboo trim, while the RX 500h opted for a sportier, all-black interior with artificial suede and dark grey aluminum accents.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS exuded a timeless elegance with its modern design, highlighted by the GLS 450's 22-inch AMG rims and polished metal accents. The interior showcased a new Bahia Brown over Black colour scheme, complemented by natural-grain Grey Oak and polished aluminum accents, creating a luxurious and inviting atmosphere. The GLS 450's cabin was a testament to Mercedes' attention to detail, offering a comfortable and refined space for occupants.

Its fuel economy was rated at 11.3 L/100 km, with our test averaging 11.8 L/100 km. The GLS 450's adaptive air suspension and massive tires contributed to its impressive handling and comfort.

The 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid offered a comfortable and spacious interior, with the RX 350h Luxury model featuring ten-way power-adjustable front seats, premium leather, and a three-zone automatic climate control system. The RX 500h F Sport Performance had eight-way power-adjustable front seats with larger side bolsters and standard heated and ventilated seats. The RX's battery placement under the rear seat provided excellent leg support but limited rear headroom. Cargo space was generous, with 838 litres behind the rear seat and 1,308 litres with the back seat folded.

Cargo space was practical, with 355 litres behind the third-row seat, 1,209 litres behind the second row, and a maximum of 2,400 litres behind the front seats.

The 2023 Lexus RX Hybrid featured a new infotainment system, the Lexus Interface, which required a subscription for connected services. It offered wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cloud-based navigation, and an Intelligent Assistant. However, the system had some usability issues, such as limited screen views and reflections. The available head-up display with dual-function touch-sensing control pads was also problematic for users wearing polarized sunglasses.
