The XT6's design was conservative, with towering front running lights and simple vertical taillights that aligned with Cadillac's tailored image. Despite its premium appearance, the interior felt unexpectedly narrow and lacked the digital sophistication expected in this segment, with analog gauges and an 8-inch touchscreen that mirrored those found in less expensive GM models.

In contrast, the 2022 Jeep Wrangler offered a rugged and adventurous aesthetic, true to its off-road heritage. Available in both two-door and four-door body styles, the Wrangler provided a variety of powertrain options, including a turbocharged four-cylinder, gasoline V6, turbodiesel V6, gas V8, and a plug-in hybrid. The Wrangler's design was utilitarian, with a focus on durability and functionality. Its interior was basic, with cloth upholstery and plastic materials, but it was designed to withstand the elements, featuring floor drain plugs for easy cleaning. The Wrangler's unique character and open-air driving experience made it a favourite among off-road enthusiasts.

The Wrangler's driving experience was unique, with a focus on off-road capability rather than on-road refinement. It was loud, with vague steering and a rough ride, but these traits were part of its charm for those seeking adventure.

Inside the 2022 Cadillac XT6, the cabin was comfortable but not as spacious as expected for a three-row SUV. The front seats were power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated, wrapped in optional semi-aniline leather. The second-row captain's chairs offered good legroom, but the third-row seat was cramped and difficult to access. Cargo space was limited, with 357 litres behind the third row and a maximum of 2,229 litres with the seats folded. Storage options were decent but unremarkable.

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 was equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. The standout feature was the Super Cruise system, which allowed for hands-free highway driving. The XT6 received top safety ratings from both the IIHS and NHTSA, ensuring excellent crash protection.

The 2022 Jeep Wrangler offered optional safety features through the Safety Group and Advanced Safety Group, including blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking.
