One of the most comfortable vehicles to drive or ride in. We have had 3 of these since 1988, the 00 gets a bit better gas mileage.Jan 02, 2021

I like everything about this car except the cost of the parts for repair. It is great for long trips. Especially if you have children. But it is very terrible on gas. Only gets about 11 mpg city. And 17 mpg highway. If your lucky. But all around a good reliable van.Apr 21, 2015

First mini-van, and I fell in love! It is actually designed for people with families doing family activities! So much easier to drive then a big truck or sports car. It makes nice tight turns, and the AWD gets you through a lot!Sep 11, 2014

Gotta great deal on it. Put used eng in and had trans gone through. Drove 70,000 before used eng. gave up its ghost. Put reman. in and its back to the road. Its been on many road trips. Wish it had dvd......Aug 26, 2013

Performance was great, Engine needed LOTS of work to it. I loved the interior very spacious and a very comforting ride, the previous owner didn't take very good care of it. Otherwise, I liked it a lot... Sad that after only 1 year the transmission started to crap outMay 06, 2013

I like the van for its versatility. I bought ours used with 52K miles. Now have 109k. Have had number of things that needed replacing. But nothing out of the ordinary. Brakes hold up well. Compared with General Motor brake lines that rust out Chrysler is much better.
One annoyance was the serpentine belt jumping the pulleys. I was able to fix myself with a Danco pulley kit. Basically a side shield that kept serpentine belt in place. Changing spark plugs and wires is a chore for back half of engine, had to have mechanic finish for me.
Spare tire crank needs to be serviced yearly or you will have problem getting spare down.
Mice like the insulation near firewall and chew it than pee all over. Of course then it smells in the cab. Peppermint oil seems to slow them down and make van smell better. Must apply few times a year.
As a family van it has been good for long trip to Florida each year. Family of 5 so we remove one center seat and have ample room for our stuff. It rides comfortably and handles good.Feb 04, 2013

I am very satisfied with my van. Very reliable and worth the money. I am currently looking for a newer model with more options. I like the leather interior best. My kids like the roominess and comfortable seats. It runs smoothly on the road and has lots of power.

We bought our Town & Country LXi brand new and have loved owning it; We have taken multiple family trips to Florida in the van and we were comfortable going and coming. It saved significantly over flying as we transported 5 adults and one child plus 7-10 days of luggage (there were 2 women and lots of diapers in that mix at times.)Mar 14, 2012

Great van. 3.8l cheap to maintain. 30 mpg fully loaded on highway. Super comfortable leather seating all around and great convenience features. Attention to detail. Little touches that make a big difference such as lighting and storage and knobs and switches in the right places.Nov 25, 2011

Leather freezing cold ac gotta have it, heated seats, holds 7 folks, rides down the road and you dont even feel the bumps or pot holes or nothing. love the cruise. The van basically drives itself more or less. GREATFeb 25, 2011

Very good performance and handling for a luxury mini-van. Getting to the point where we need to worry about rust issues in the strut towers and rear fender area. Normal transmission issues caused us to replace the trans a couple of years ago. Great fuel economy from the 3.8 liter V6, and power to use the factory towing package.Sep 05, 2010

i like everything about this van it is roomy plus it responds to our foot and to the road. I have no problem taking a cross country road trip in this van. The Infinity sorround sound only makes it a more enjoyable ride.Jul 28, 2010

obviously used , but its stands up well for 135,000 miles, decent gas mileage for a v-6, what do you want its hauls the kids to baseball, etc and picks up all of our groceries and all our other stuff, i took it to lowes to to get stuff, lolSep 08, 2009

good car. fun to drive. good acceleration, good brakes. handles pretty well for a minivan. occasional repairs neeeded. good looking as far as vans go. good gas mileage even with a large load. does not need much maintenance at all.Aug 05, 2009

Acceleration - My Chrysler will get up and go (for a
van) for a small 3.3L V6. The engine strong.
Build Quality - On some things it is solid but over
all a Chrysler is a Chrysler and build quality is a
disappointment.
Appearance - Well let's be honest, back in 1996
they weren't to concerned about the styling.

It's more like a bus, but it works for us right now. I would love to have a smaller car as well. Something in a convertible, perhaps.Jun 13, 2008

I bought this Family Van 2 1/2 years ago. It has been a great vehicle and would recommend to anyone with family hauling to do. It gets good gas mileage for its size and has good performance from it's 3.8 V6.
Seats 7 comfortably for trips also.
Pics to come a little laterSep 08, 2007

Love the dual sliding doors, hate that the seat belts stick. Difficult for my husband to work on, great to cart around kids.
This van is serving its purpose, but still has quirks.Jun 06, 2007
