bought this car in 09 and have done very little too it and runs when no one elses will die hard little car and fun to drive looks good going fast have had it to 120 and no problems and funFeb 19, 2014

Love the size...small yet four doors for convience and a suprisingly large trunk. Car is never trouble, I just turn the key and go. Its quieter than my new Focus. Wish Ford had done a little better on the rubber donuts of the motor mounts, but that's about the only thing I can complain about. All round it's great.Oct 31, 2013

car runs 10,2s and 10,4s on quarter mile brakes on a dime even at high speed will handle better then a bmw m3 it constantly needs tires 215 45 17 most people think its a s2000 they never guess its a escort if easy on it it gets about 40 mpg if on it round 18 basic maintenance car has 236 hp and 267 ft lbs of torque at the wheels dyno tested at washington state community college awesome to drive hit third gear goose it and watch the speedo dissapearNov 16, 2011

The Ford Escort ZX2 was built to compete against Honda's Civic. Ford Wanted to show they had power in the Tuner area. Its overall performance is great and weighs less that the Honda Civic. Build quality is ok. The could have lost the round look and went for a little more square. Appearance is is the same. Maint. on the Escort is minor. except for the Transmission. To much hard shifting and you will have to get a new one. Fun Factor. Let's go on a dirt run.Sep 27, 2010

its a funking escort bloody fords phaa fair bit of road noise but with my 600w fusion sub an amp that soon cuts out the road noise. got pretty good handling for a ford yeah i would say this cars fun too driveMar 03, 2010

Its been in an accident still runs good. The Performance Is
Good. It rear ended a car and still drives. need i say more
about quality. The appearance isn't bad, gas mileage could be
better but its good enough for now. The car is fun and

It's just a regular car, nothing blends in better than an escort. However, it's cheap to maintain, has great mpg, and is a nice size, so you have no trouble fitting into that tiny parking spot that is too small a squeeze for a regular sized sedan. Nov 01, 2009

Nice Looking Car That Has A Sun Roof. My
Car Is Fun To Drive All The Time. Get About
250 Miles On A Full Tank Of Gas. The Only
Complain I Have About It Is That It Idles
When Stopped But Thats All Thats Negative

Its alright. Since I put in two Kenwood KFC subs with a 1800 watt Kenwood amplifier, I've noticed that everything rattles within the car. The DVD player head unit from Jensen could be alot better, It takes a while to load. Before i put in the capacitor on the wiring kit the headlights and interior lights would dim. ZX2 is best car I have driven. More power with some great fuel efficiency. Wish Ford would reproduce this car. Original ZX2 owned required little maintenance. Factory tires though are not very good. Car is very sleek and stylish. CD unit though is in the trunk and this seemed to be an odd place to put it. Aug 08, 2008

Its a nice reliable car that gets you where you need to go with good gas mileage. To fill it with 91 octane at 4 bucks is about 30 dollars and gets u close to 300 miles till ya need more. Jun 29, 2008

Bought my '02 in Dec. 2005 for $4500 at a junk yard. I needed a car and was desperate found this one on the internet it had 17,000 miles on it and has leather, sunroof, power everything, and a 6-disc CD changer. Now it has 77,000 miles on it and haven't had any problems with it. I'm not easy on my vehicles and this car has handled everything from gravel roads to no roads and everything in between.
