Appearance- Ugly
Performance- Handles well, Brakes well, Overall not bad
Cost of ownership- Gas amazing, maintenance not TOO much
Build Quality- Needed some general repairs
Fun Factor- Decent
Great car, could use some more power, pretty decent gas mileage, Overall great

this car had a lot of modifications. mainly because stock completely sucked, but modded was a great, fun car. very tough and reliable. looked and sounded great. was expensive to build, but the car was cheap, so all in all not bad price for what she was.Jan 15, 2012

0-60 on a good launch: 6.5 sec. Handles like a boss, new brakes so those are beast status too. A few rattles here and there, then again, that might be from the awesome HKS exhaust that is nice and loud, or it could have something to do with driving around with 2 12" Subs bumpin' at full output. This car gets me anywhere I want to go and never gives me a problem. It has power and can do burn out on the road. This car means everything and is a blast. I prefer you to get a car like this.May 21, 2010

This started out as little more than basic
transportation. With some after market
additions, it actually turned out to be a fun
car. It was also a pretty good looking cheap
car.
In stock form, the intake design kills power by
straving the twin cam engine of air! The skinny
little stock wheels and tires ruin any handling
the car may have.
With a new air intake system, and bigger
wheels and tires, this car was surprising. It
handled very well, and with a engine that
could breathe, it had a lot more useable
power! The 5-speed transmission was nothing
special, but it was essential to wringing out
the maximum performance of the engine. This
car with the Automatic transmission was
worthless!
Note: these modifications are exactly the same
mods Ford made to the SR version of this car!
Where this car was lacking was in useable
interior space. Headroom was limited, and rear

Another of the Escort family it was a burgandy Ghia model 1.8
all leather interior lots of toys and fake walnut so it looked the
part and made you feel richer than you were. I liked it, nippy,

Pretty good performance for a car in it's class. Handles well given the skinny tires. Build quality is pretty solid, the oly major repair I've had to do was a transmission overhaul, part of which might just be the way I drive the car. Get's good gas mileage(~30) when I don't have my foot to the floor(which is most of the time). Compared to a lot of cars my friends own, this is definitely more fun to drive.Jun 27, 2008

My second car, Not a bad car for a senior in high school to just drive around in. also not a bad car to learn the basics of car body, engine, and stereo modification. great pick up and speed, I wrecked this car with a front end crash and walked away without a scratch very safe carMar 19, 2008

It was a pretty good car, except for the loss of power when you turn on the A/C. I never had any problem with it and the quality was better than todays Ford's, specially in plastics. The setero was pretty bad, if you´re thinking about getting one of these I strongly recommend you to change it with any aftermarket sound products.Dec 23, 2007
