In 1999 Car and Driver said this is the fastest sedan ever to drive the face of the earth. It looks elegant and nobody expects it to have the massive power that it does. It is faster than a corvette and does it while hauling 5 passengers! Last car AMG built before being purchased by Daimler! Now AMG makes cosmetics and sport packages this was a the last of the true AMGs! This is classified as a SuperCar like a Ferrari or a Porsche would be. Truly amazing power and handling from a naturally aspirated engine!
January 2, 2013The best car I have ever owned, eats almost anything off the road.. I should never have let it go! It is an expensive car to run but not bad when you consider the power, it will get 25 mpg on long runs and otherwise is quite cheap to run. It really is such fun to drive especially when you beat little punks in their Subaru's etc.

March 29, 2008The car is fun to drive, it is very powerful even though it is old, the appearance needs alot of work but once it is fixed it looks ok not good not bad, the build quality well its a mercedes so i give it 5 star for sure
September 20, 2009The feel and sound of quality, the way the doors shut, the quiet ride, surprisingly good in the snow (with snow tires), only cons are the electronics are overly complicated, the maintenance reminder won't reset and the sunroof switch is a bit touchy.
February 19, 2015A solid car. Some reliability ups and downs through the first year however, much was my fault. As I have told many it is not amazing at anything but it is EXCELLENT at everything. $46,000 new. worth the 10 year wait - $6,500 is a steal for this remarkable car.
February 8, 2010Acceleration seems wholesome yet not stressed for an automatic. Braking is very responsive and firm. Handling seems floaty, most likely due to worn bushing and shocks. Build Quality seems to be excellent. Slight issue with the glove box not opening all the way. Transmission seems to be worn and in need of a rebuild. Hard downshift to 1st gear. Delay between stop and start. External appearance in the front seems to be outdated and over exaggerated. Interior is excellent. Cost of ownership isn't as bad as one might think. Insurance cost is decent for a luxury car. Gas mileage average is about 29mpg. Maintenance cost is a bit high due to expensive and rare parts. Fun Factor is at a mediocre.
April 29, 2009the car is the best mercedes I have owned. It gets good milage, is fast, and it is comfortable and quiet on the road. easy to maintain, parts are plentiful . Steering is light and responsive. I could not wish for a more satisfying ride.
May 27, 2012Probably the best car I've ever owned. Bought it used to replace 2005 Lexus and will never go back. This thing runs every day and is just perfect in every way. Buy it used and save big money. It will last a lifetime.
March 10, 2010It is E240 six cylinder small block engine. Very good, reliable car, it just needs some repairing and paint job. When they said that 'whenever you tried a Mercedes Benz, you will replace it with another car, except Mercedes". it is true.
