My second car and, good God, I hated it!
There was never anything particularly wrong with it. Small car, cheap to run, etc. but there was just nothing exciting about it. I was glad when someone drove into it and wrote it off. Aug 16, 2009

very cheep in fees, very small (squeeze in for parking places). needs less fuel. you need good sun glasses to look a bit cool in it. very good installed hifi system. god bass sound. you do not hear the motor anymore ;-)Jun 20, 2009

If i was to rate this car i would say its a great first car, for anyone who's not so confident behind the wheel. Ive had the car for about 3-4 years now and ive come to learn everything about the car, i.e performance, handling, reliability and fuel consumption. I think most people expect the Micra to be the grandma run around but if you open her up abit it shows a different side. I push my Micra hard and its a very quick car. Its light and small and the 1.0l DOHC 16v engine is bullet proof. Not everything is great, for instance, My seat wont go back far enough for me to be completely comfortable. Not much gadgets not even a cigarett lighter adapter. But then if it had lots of gadgets, thats more things to go wrong.Sep 12, 2008

crap crap its the uglyest and most terrible car ever built. never get one there crap and you could get somthing better for the same price . dont know what else to say about the piece of crap its a grannys car and should always stay like that there utter utter crap

I'm still not sure why I bought this one! Really hate the shape of it and it is stereotyped towards women. I think the main reason is I bought it was because I knew it would be cheap to run & reliable, and I was having lots of reliability issues with my current car at the time which was costing me lots of £'s to get fixed so I decided to get this as a reliable stepping stone towards my next "decent" car!
It was better than I expected to drive. the 1.0 16V engine was really nippy and I had lots of fun pulling away quicker than bigger cars in traffic light drag races! I didn't go too much on the brakes though - no ABS and being a light car it was quite easy to accidentally lock the wheels when doing an emergency stop. I also remember one issue with the handling when I nearly lost the rear end while overtaking a pensioner who insisted at driving at 15mph in a 30 limit, mind you the road was really wet that day, but it's safe to say that having a light car with little tyres like that is not going to give you a lot of grip in the corners.
Can't fault the reliability of it though. I never had any problems with it and I sold it privately to a friend from work - he's still got it and I still see it parked in the work car park regularly. Not had any bad reports from the current owner since I sold it so as far as I know it's still running smoothly!
