The manual windows are a curse and a blessing but I favor the latter due to prospect of less malfunction. Solid car, ease of self maintenance and great fuel economy makes this vehicle a good value. Sunroof would be nice. For American makes, Id compare this vehicle to a Plymouth BreezeAug 21, 2020

This car has been good to me. I found it sitting behind my old landlord's rental property and it had a bad motor in it. I swapped that out and am still fixing things on it. I still cannot complain about the fuel mileage.Feb 17, 2012

Decent power for a single cam.
Quality is on the low side but its very cheap.
Handles like its on rails and i peaked at 42mph
Maintenance is not only cheap, but easy to find and easy to put on. Free horsepower from using lifters from the 2.7 v6 and Feb 15, 2012

Neon's are fun for the first week..after that they start to cost you money..lots of
money..a neon is a great starter car..you get great gas mileage, descent power
and handling but it lacks in every department.. i had to fix mine about once a week
for simple things like a ground wire breaking or the typical neon thing the Gauges

performance- only had a 2 litre sohc 5 speed standard great peppy little car great on gas in my opinion it looks great. i customized the truck myself as you can see in the pictures but i have a different wing on it now too looks better. these pictures were taking at alantic nationals car show in 2011.Nov 15, 2011

I've only had this for a little while and it's been nothing but trouble. My sister had it to travel from home to college. The breaks has had 3 brake troubles. My family have been repairing this car and it costs lots of money. The looks might look good but this is a car that you should never get.Nov 01, 2011

its a good car,and it drive real nice,and looks good.just needed some work when i got it.but its a 95.im about to throw some doors and the neon lights under the car.it will be very clean once im done,but no matter what im still a chevy man =p.as many problems im fixing i wouldnt recommend this to anyone unless they know how to work on them and they have the money to get the parts to fixs,it is a pain but that a neon and must front wheel drive cars.Oct 06, 2011

This car is fun to drive. It has been modded out and is pretty plucky, well balanced and corners like a dream. I know it has taken a roundabout at at least 55 before. The appearance is a little wanting but will be tweaked later as time and money allows.Dec 07, 2010

My first car and my favorite out of the two Ive had so far. Such a fun car to drive.
Handles great and has its own little personality. It loves to be played with and
tossed around. Only downside is the build quality. A lot of big gaps and loose fitting

the gt sport coupe with the 150hp. 16 valve dual overhead cam and a five speed manual is very sporty feeling litle car witch is also very good on gas I find this little car fun and cheap to drive!May 10, 2010

performance really really sucked...the build sucked even more....appearance was actually pretty dang decent decent...gas milage was pretty ok...basically this car was only used for the gas milage...other than that it really wasn't all that impressive!! May 04, 2010

Its no luxury car, but the lil buggars cheap to fix, cheap with gas, reliable, and pretty quick for a 4cl. The cars did have premayture head gasket problems, which is the cause for related future problems such as rough idle, and cooling system failure. Other than that, handling is amazing, does 120mph with ease, hardcore cornering, and overall is a great family car.Mar 20, 2010

I recieved it as a gift from a family friend and drove it for about a month before the head gasket went out. Upon working on the car i have also replaced the rings and bearings and redoing the valves and almost a whole motor rebuild that has become quite expensive but it will be a lot better in the long run.Mar 18, 2010

Performance i had the engine overhaul to 0.050 oversized pistons i have an aem cold air intake a pacesetter exhuast replaced the transmission with wider ratio automatic one and I i replaced my strutes with monroe senatrack struts. the body has minor rust and minor hail damage and i'm workingon changingthe interior from a tan colour to black and blue. and it gets 5 hors of driving from full to empty on a tank of gas. and th car handles bicely and is really run to drive in the winter and mess around in parkng lots Feb 02, 2010

Was a fun car with a 3.0 motor swap but i didnt own it long enugh to realy enjoy it. it ran well and had some good get up and go but sadly it was totaled. The interior was nice and the overall look of the body begged to be worked on. was planing a wings west wide body kit, enkei arashi rims and toyo performance tires.Dec 07, 2009

I have had Neons in the past. There fun little cars. Theres lots
of mods you can do to a Neon to get alot of git up and go out
of her. Extremely easy to work on. Great beginners car if you
are just learning on your own how to work on cars. This particular neon is my beater car. I had a previous neon that
was my baby. But unfortunately some idiot ran a light and got
me in a intersection leaving the car unfixable. I have a new

160 hp 2.0L SOHC 5 speed manual i can get an average of 37-52 mpg on a tank remind you that a neon has an 11 gal tank lets see one of them hybrid peices of $#@! do that 200,210 miles trust it more than a new car and i've done 160,000 of those milesNov 29, 2009

good car fair acceleration. braking, mileage. appearence. It is nit a performance car but it is fun to drive it handles ok. I got it used and it was fairly cheap. It is a 1995 Dodge neon. It has aautomatic transmission, I was told to drive an auto by my surgeon,for an auto it seems ok, I prefer a stick.Mar 28, 2009

The car is awesome on gas. Its a blast to drive. Has a cold air intake, custom dual exhaust, 16inch Loco rims wrapped in Falken Z rated 205/40R/16. The stereo is amazing. 2 15" Legacy subs, powered by a JL Audio 500/1 Amp. Sony Xplod 6x9s being powered by a Lightening Audio 400x4 amp. Dec 27, 2008

I love my car. It look nice and runs well. its a little rusty along the bottom but i try to take as good care of it as i can. gets great gas mileage and it comfortable to drive. definetly not made for anyone bigger. its a small car but its just perfect for meNov 19, 2008

I totally loved this car. Unfortunately it got totalled after a hail storm on an icy road. I know everyone loves their first car, but this one had good reason to be loved. It handled well, was gas efficient, had plenty of power and the widest footprint of the small cars of that time so it had the most stability on the road.Feb 22, 2008

the 5spd was probly the only thing i liked about the car. at some points the cars styling didnt look good to me and in the winter the car would blow snow into the vents...the car was a base line and didnt have the option of recirculate or fresh air...no tilt or a/c...the electrical would screw up sumtimes as wellDec 06, 2007

We bought the car to save in gas - which it does!!, but it is having a mechanical problem (jumping and missing) after we drive it for 10 to 15 minutes, it starts missing and nobody seems to be able to tell us what is going on.May 28, 2007
