This car is a diamond in the rough! Just needs some love and care. Was the right price and low on mileage. Had so body work done at some point before I bought it but the car still looks great! Mar 23, 2023

The Neon has great gas mileage and very comfortable for a small car. Took this car on several trips from San Diego to Denver (over 1200 miles) and was very comfortable. It is also very good in the snow as we ran into several heavy snow storms in the mountains and had no problems. The compact size makes it easy to park in tight spaces, and get around town. The four cylinder has more the enough power to make merging into freeway traffic easy. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for economical and reliable transportation. Especially students, a young family, or someone looking for a commuter car.Aug 05, 2014

It has limited slip differential for fast take off . It can be a bumpy ride , the previous owner added lots of stuff ,bigger turbo and intercooler , racing axels . Suspension, racing clutch. It's a real head turner just revving it up . Pretty reliable . It's never seen road salt and is really clean underneath . All and all fast funJul 06, 2014

Spent over $2500 fixing this car myself in parts......one things gets fixed another breaks......or leaks.....or falls off.....or disappears.....now that I am attending UTI I now have my own access to finding out exactly what I am missing, all that is left is checking for ohms bolts and amperage to make sure everything in getting the applied readings via manufacturers specification, gotta love shop key and all data......Jul 24, 2013

I love the car it fits my needs as the only driver. Easy to do minor mechanical jobs such as spark plug and wires, engine oil, transmission fluid, brakes, drive belt. Plenty of fandom behind its legacy from three generations.May 15, 2013

Sorry this is the only photo I have of my car at the moment, but I will take another one soon. (I was actually taking a pic of my Jack Russell "Ruckus" in his Santa suit...and he was NOT amused!) Anyhoo....I own a 2004 Dodge Neon. It's ok on gas and has been a "pretty good" car, though I've had to put a lot of money in to repairs & maintenance, on top of kinda pricey car payments and FC insurance. But what'cha gonna do? Gotta have a ride! All in all, it's been a good car, though I was not very happy with having to start putting money in to repairs after only having it for 6 months, and it was only two years old when I bought it. Like the good fuel economy,but dislike the long gear ratio of transmission, easy to park at any parking spot, the interior colour and the exterior colour match excellent, this small car, with all the luxury, is an ideal ladies or studenst car.

i bought this car new in 2004 and drove it for 4 years prior to handing over to my daughter for college. She still drive it today. the only problem she has had is the moonroof motor went out after it was about 5 years old. The engine (like alot of Dodges) has a clicking from the lifters when you start it up until it warms up. I have noticed this in alot of the dodges I have owned. The back seat is not designed for grown ups as any smaller vehicle. Good truck space for a smaller car. I would definitely recommend getting cruise control as the long trips tend to be even longer without cruise control. I would recommend this car to anyone that is looking for a sporty ride or another family car. Dec 11, 2012

I drove this car through college and beyond! It has been very inexpensive to keep up. Drove it to SC from MI on 3 tanks of gas (90 bucks)!
Seats got some saltwater on them from the surfboard (yes, it fits in the car) and will not come clean -- which is very frustrating. Other than that, I love this thing! Only reason we are getting a new car is to have room for a growing family. Feb 22, 2012

very fast, has sports car build, yellow and manul, cost effective, very fun to drive. interior is grey seating, and it has a sunroof. Cd player inside as well, and the brake pads and disks just got changed. enjoyable car to driveJun 15, 2011

Fun car to drive, even funner to mod it.
Easy mods such as a CAI, UDP, high flow cat, new exhaust system, a new cam, will definitely add more power and ultimately = more fun ;)
Eats gas if you like to hear your CAI roar when you slam the peddle though.

It is sliver, and very clean. It runs well and has 40,000 miles on it. The bast part is
my parents paid for it:) It has a good gitty up and does well on speed. It gets

It may just be a Neon, but I really like the styling... so much better than the old '90s Neon. Performance is good, had the car up over 185km/h running at only 4400rpm. Unlike most Chrysler cars, it even has comfortable seats! Granted they are ripped off from the SRT-4 which is ripped off from the Viper, but there you go.Feb 21, 2010

Performance? Non-existant. Build Quality... Not horrible but definitely not a Porsche. Looks like an economy car. No 'styling' included, but it does have window tint and some Bradley stickers. Very cheap to drive. Good gas mileage. Not my idea of fun.Aug 28, 2009

Added Mopar body kit so it looks pretty sweet! Was disappointed that there wasn't much in the way of after market "bolt on" performance parts, but it is still fun to drive, gets great gas mileage and still pretty much looks like new. It is only driven in the summer. Only complaint is the clutch needs to be stiffer. Have had no problems with the car so far, it has been a great car.Jul 17, 2009

Much better than previous models of the neon no more paint issues havent had any issues performance wise up to 81k miles and still drives like i just got it there are still some issues with weatherstripping and overall accessories still have issues stereo issues with cd player not just my car heard this with several neons...Jan 19, 2009

I dont see why anybody would buy anything else for a daily driver, it has anything a normal person could ever want and cost just a hair over $9,000 with only 9,000mi on the clock. More than eneough power to get you in trouble and can hang with just about anything in the twisties. It looks a bit plain stock but a mopar lip kit(under $200) solves that problem. The car now with about 50,000mi of daily use has never needed anything but a few oil changes and some better tires.Nov 28, 2008

I currently own a 2004 Dodge Neon SXT (sport package) that I bought in 2006 for $9,700. The car is a great first car. It is faster than most other cars in its class and most people underestimate the Neon. Mine came with a rear spoiler, fog lights, a premium sound system, and upgraded wheels. It gets good fuel mileage as well which is another high point for the car. I recently installed a Cold Air Intake and SRT-4 catback exhaust which has increased my gas mileage and has made a huge impact in terms of sound. The catback made me loose a little bottom end power but I gained top end. The brakes are really good quality on mine and the handling is decent for FWD. I must have gotten lucky when buying mine as the car has held up so far needed only scheduled maintenance. The interior could be better but it isn't terrible and the outside is pretty decent looking, especially with the fog lights, spoiler, and my SRT-4 exhaust which has dual tips. All in all it is a good starter car and it can be fun to drive.Aug 01, 2008

First off, the performance. Acceleration is OK considering the engine size. Braking would of course depend on the brakes put on the car. As for handling, I hate it. The car is front wheel drive so handling is affected. If you notice, I "owned" this car... let's just say its not the drifting car. At the same time, I never had to get any repairs on it except for a hose that was leaking, but of course that happens to all cars.
