It's got it all looks, performance from the turbocharged engine, and very comfy.Excellent fuel economy, handles like a wheelbarrow though.Starts first time everytime(that's down mainly to the mechanic who keeps it in tiptop condition,me). And it's got a sunroof.Jun 28, 2011

Easy run with a good engine but typically shabby build quality from Vauxhall. As the CD model it had plenty of toys and was a reliable hard working car. I would buy another, shame about the badge. Nice to look at.Jul 27, 2009

Would have been a good car back in its day, but wasn't as good to have a Cavalier again after the Mondeo's. Made a good mile cruncher, good on fuel, low on performance - nearly ran out of road trying to get a G-Tec meter to register 60 in one night :-) Was made worse after it got broken into, but was a good reliable car, even with little oil or water in the engine.Jun 10, 2009

I did like this car. Good quality, electric windows, remote central locking (retro-fitted). 1.8 engine was good and it went well! It was the first car I ever owned that wasn't rusty! These were a good car in their time!Feb 20, 2009

I can do all the repairs / maintenance / service myself, Is cheap on all the parts, and when I crash it ( very rarely these days!!) It costs next to nothing to rebuild it, I can Mod or De-Modify it, And most importantly you can thrash the hell out of it with out it going BANG!! Also it is 110%+ reliable.Oct 04, 2008

Ok - it's no beauty pagent queen. I bought this car to leave on the streets of London for days on end without worry. I bought it to get me home in the middle of the night and to only really do motorway miles. A good friend sold it to me for £250 and since then, I've done 22,000 miles in it ofr the cost of a load of fuel and two tyres. Oh - and I changed the cam belt when I first got it. It's quiet and cruises at motorway speeds with no trouble. It's a bit thirsty, but not awful and it's never used any oil. It's got 106,000 miles and it could blow up any day. It's a good old workhorse.Aug 14, 2008

had a couple of these a 2.0i petrol and a 1.7td diesel, diesel had 200,000 miles on the clock and took me all the way to somerset without any problems at all very reliable isuzu engine though very underpowered and the petrol engine always broke down even if you just washed it, eventully the head gasket went at 120,000Mar 23, 2008
