Acceleration is great with the 5-speed manual transmission. Brakes work very well, even in the snow and on some ice. Cornering is a breeze.
I have had some repairs, outside regular maintenance, but I've done it myself in my driveway.

The toughest little car I ever had. I bought it
used from a family member. We maintain the care
regularly. I would like to find after-market
performance parts. The car is really fun to
drive.
It is easily maintained. In the past five years
I have replaced the fuel pump. This was an easy
fix. I also replaced the heater core, this one

I bought it used after totalling my truck, just to have a daily driver until the insurance settled. I kept it for 5 years and when I sold it, it had over 300 000 on the odometer. More reliable than either of my new GM vehicles.Feb 10, 2008
