I bought a red 1989 Ford Festiva right off the dealerships car lot...It lasted for 220,00 miles and was used to haul my music gear to shows in...The car also was used as a multipurpose vehicle too...I loved that little car sine it was the first new one I ever bought...A mechanic told me that they were not breaking down and they were well made is the reason Ford stopped making them...May 26, 2024

I have owned this car for years. It now has 207,000 miles on it and it is running on the original engine, transmission, fuel pump, starter and alternator. It may have been a cheap car, but I do not know of any cars of any price that hold up as well as these do.Oct 11, 2012

I absolutely love this car. It is the type of car that grows on you when you own it. You begin to appreciate the simplicity of everything and how ell it works. Cost of owning and operating this car is negligible.Sep 24, 2010

i love the festiva, its an amazing car, i am currently building it up to be a show car. it cost me 300$ and its worth 50$ lol its an amazing car to drive, very touchy steering, although no powersteering, im super satisfied, once i put the 1.8L turbo engine in it, its going to be the car to look for! its going to kill mustangs and corvettes at the quarter mile! This is another car I bought for the beautiful Michigan winters. It reminds me of the 2 Toyota trucks I owned. Ugly, slow, but completely reliable. I couldnt break this vehicle when I tried. The Ford Festiva was the Ford Fiesta replacement, and the car was pretty much all built by KIA. The Ford Aspire is the lucky Festiva replacement.

Cheap and rugged. The perfect people's car, from Korea with love. Will do 80 MPH all day and get 40 MPG doing it. Fun to drive. Will make you the talk of the neighborhood. Makes a Prius look ridiculously overcomplicated, get's the same mileage and performance for less money, with fewer components. Feb 01, 2009

First off what i like...
I like how much of a distance I am able to drive before a fillup. I like that it is a very simple and easy car to maintain. I love that it is smooth on the highways and can still drive like a tank on those really rough dirt roads like the one that leads to my house.
What I don't like...
I feel that it is too small. Too low to the ground. My signals don't work so I have to use my hands *watch for finger*! Ther is no horn. It doesn't like steep grades as i found out a while ago trying to go to the Hualapie mountains with it.
Other than that... I feel like $200 bought me a pretty good running car after I rebuilt it up!Jul 10, 2008

Little point A to point B car and not bad as far as handling. Only problem ever was the stick shift fell through the floor of the car because there was a hole in the floor. Apr 10, 2008

This was my first and favorite car. It was so much fun to drive, even though it was pretty slow.
I upgraded the whole sound system in it including a 12" sub in a box that I built that takes up the whole trunk.
When I left for school, I gave it to my friend Nate and he painted it all black, which looked sick. Then he moved, so he gave it to our friend Dustin, who drove it until it died. Apr 09, 2008
