New & Used 2026 Hyundai Venue for SaleNationwide

Is the 2026 Hyundai Venue a good car?

The 2026 Hyundai Venue earns an expert rating of 5.3/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 7/10.

The Venue’s appeal is strongest as an entry-level utility vehicle rather than a polished one. It gives you a small footprint that’s easy to park, good space for its size, and fuel efficiency, which makes it practical for city use and budget-minded shopping. The trade-offs are clear: it is underpowered, has lots of plastic inside, and produces excessive interior noise, so refinement takes a back seat to value.

With 35.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Venue reliable?

The 2026 Hyundai Venue is positioned as a budget-friendly crossover with straightforward hardware and a simple layout, which supports easy day-to-day ownership. Its 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine and CVT are uncomplicated, and the Venue’s low running costs fit its role as an entry-level utility vehicle.

Hyundai also includes useful standard equipment that helps reduce ownership friction, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and heated front seats on the base trim. That said, the Venue’s underpowered nature and noisy cabin suggest it is built more for affordability than long-haul polish.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you may be living with a vehicle that stays basic and noisy even if it remains economical to run.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Venue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Essential is very basic, with cloth upholstery, heated front seats and mirrors, halogen headlights, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, a urethane steering wheel and shift knob, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, the 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and 15-inch steel wheels. The Preferred adds a heated steering wheel, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, Snow mode, a proximity key with push-button start, 15-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, a covered centre console, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Ultimate adds a power sunroof, cloth and leatherette upholstery, automatic temperature control, front auto up-down windows, 17-inch alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, LED headlights and daytime running lights, and chrome grille accents.

• Powertrain: The Venue uses a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine with 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive only. It is not quick, but its light 1,251-kilogram mass helps it feel peppy from a stop and easy to manoeuvre in traffic.

• Safety package: Hyundai includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and a driver attention monitor. All but the base Essential also get blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while adaptive cruise control is not available.

• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen with phone, radio, media, and phone projection connections, plus voice memos, settings controls, and the user manual. It also has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad is standard in Canada. Navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio are not included.

• Fuel efficiency: The Venue is rated at 7.9 L/100 km in the city, 6.9 on the highway, and 7.5 combined. In testing, it averaged 8.3 L/100 km over 175 km of mixed driving.

Which 2026 Hyundai Venue trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Venue is offered in 3 trim levels: Essential, Preferred, and Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• Essential: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with a very basic cabin. You still get heated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and other useful standard features, which makes it the best-value trim for budget-focused buyers.

• Preferred: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of price and everyday convenience. The heated steering wheel, push-button start, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, roof rails, and alloy wheels make it the most rounded choice for most shoppers.

• Ultimate: Choose this if you want the most comfort and appearance upgrades, including the power sunroof, automatic temperature control, LED headlights and daytime running lights, rear disc brakes, and larger alloy wheels.

The Preferred and Ultimate add blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the base Essential does not.

Hyundai equips the Venue with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and a driver attention monitor. All but the base Essential also get blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, but adaptive cruise control is not available.
