How much does the 2024 Hyundai Venue cost?

Prices have softened 8.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 485 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Venue a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Hyundai Venue earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

It is positioned as a budget-friendly small crossover SUV, and the data backs that up with a low entry price, standard wireless smartphone integration, and a compact footprint that suits city and suburban driving. The trade-offs are clear: sluggish performance and a cramped back seat can limit how well it fits your needs if you want stronger acceleration or more passenger room.

The market also shows 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Venue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Venue is described as a cost-effective choice with a 5-year/100,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and powertrain warranty, plus five-year/unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance. Its 1.6-litre four-cylinder and CVT are presented as a straightforward setup, and the vehicle is framed as a practical, affordable option rather than a complicated one.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Venue’s modest performance and busy ride may be more noticeable as the vehicle ages and your needs become less forgiving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Hyundai Venue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Venue is sold in Essential, Preferred, and Ultimate trim levels. The Preferred is the minimum recommended upgrade because it looks better on the outside and adds desirable convenience and important safety features, while the Ultimate adds brighter LED headlights.
• Powertrain: You get a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine with 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. It is best suited to city and suburban use, and it can feel buzzy when you press harder on the accelerator.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert starts with the Preferred, while adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist are not available.
• Infotainment: The Venue uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a six-speaker sound system. The screen is properly sized and the menus are simple to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The Venue earns a Natural Resources Canada fuel consumption rating of 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which 2024 Hyundai Venue trim should I buy?

The 2024 Hyundai Venue is offered in 3 trim levels: Essential, Preferred, and Ultimate.

Here's the short version:

• Essential: This is the entry point, but the data points you toward moving up if you want a better-looking Venue with more useful convenience and safety equipment.
• Preferred: This is the best-value trim because it is the minimum recommended upgrade and adds desirable convenience and important safety features, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
• Ultimate: This is the one to choose if you want the brightest LED headlights and the most upscale presentation in the lineup.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist are not available on the 2024 Venue.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Hyundai Venue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 485 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.38% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,755 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Hyundai Venue's resale value?

The current average of $21,038 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,962 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Venue has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about what the market will pay. If prices remain near the current average, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim. The Preferred and Ultimate trims may hold more appeal because they add equipment that shoppers are likely to notice.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Hyundai Venue safe?

The Venue gets Good ratings in three IIHS crash tests and an Acceptable rating for the Ultimate trim level’s brighter LED headlights. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives it an overall four-star rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2024 Venue comes with standard forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and a driver monitoring system. Starting with the Venue Preferred, Hyundai adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control and lane-centring assist are not available on the 2024 Venue.

Should I buy a 2024 Hyundai Venue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 stands out for affordability, standard wireless smartphone integration, and a package that is especially well suited to value-focused city and suburban driving.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, standard tech, and current-market pricing, the 2024 is the sensible path. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on lower-mileage listings near the bottom of the year-round range and focus on the Preferred trim for the best balance of equipment and value.
