How much does the Toyota Sienna cost in today's market?

Used Toyota Sienna prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Toyota Sienna's current nationwide average price is $41,395 CAD, and its nationwide average price reached a low of $39,027 CAD over the past year. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the Toyota Sienna is a strong used choice if you want a family-focused minivan with broad appeal and a long-running reputation for practicality. The all-generations owner rating is 4.53/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners repeatedly praise the Sienna for its spacious interior, comfort, and family-friendly usefulness. Across the newer expert reviews, the ride quality, quiet cabin, and easy-to-use technology also come up often as recurring strengths.

Expert reviews rate the 2022 and 2021 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs centre on the driving experience and everyday usability details: the powertrain can sound strained under hard acceleration, fuel economy in real-world use can fall short of expectations, and cargo space trails some rivals.

29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Toyota Sienna models reliable?

Owners consistently describe the Toyota Sienna as dependable, spacious, and comfortable, with strong family appeal across the lineup. Expert coverage also reinforces its reputation for practical packaging and long-term usefulness.

• Owners rate the Toyota Sienna between 4.0 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk comes from age-related wear on higher-mileage examples, so a careful inspection of maintenance history and key mechanical systems is especially worthwhile.

What should I look for when buying a used Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating for our FWD test model is 6.6 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Sienna offers these trims:

• LE: The entry trim in the Canadian lineup, with the core hybrid Sienna formula and the practical packaging that defines the model.
• XLE: A step up for buyers who want more comfort and convenience while staying close to the Sienna’s value-focused character.
• XSE: Adds a racier look and a sport-tuned suspension, making it the pick for shoppers who want a more expressive feel.
• Limited: The top trim in the lineup, bringing the most upscale equipment and serving as the best fit if you want the most premium Sienna experience.
• Limited with Platinum package: Adds the Platinum package’s upgraded styling and interior touches, including new flower-petal wheel designs and a new woodgrain finish for an upscale look.

What Toyota Sienna do most buyers choose?

The Toyota Sienna years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

Higher-volume model years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, colour, and price. They also often become the default starting point for used buyers who want a newer Sienna with broader availability.

What is the Toyota Sienna's resale value?

Most Toyota Sienna model years are down year over year, which is good news if you are shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The newer models are still softening, but the declines are smaller than the steep double-digit drops seen in several older years. That pattern suggests there are still opportunities across the lineup, especially if you are flexible on model year.

The 2015, 2025, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Toyota Sienna safe?

• 2025: 6/10
• 2024: 8/10
• 2023: 9/10
• 2022: 9/10
• 2021: 7/10
• 2020: 9/10

For the safest used buy, the 2020, 2022 and 2023 models all post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Toyota Sienna now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −6.85% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −7.11%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 29% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 27.8%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $59,181 CAD. The Toyota Sienna offers a roomy, family-friendly cabin with strong everyday practicality.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The only powertrain available for the 2025 Toyota Sienna is a hybrid system that features a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), with a net horsepower rating of 245 and official fuel economy of 6.6 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.
• Tech: Toyota equips the higher-spec Sienna models with a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display for the Toyota Audio Multimedia (TAM) infotainment system.
• Safety: For the 2025 model year, the Sienna adds new rear-seat reminder technology.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
