What should I look for when buying a used Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, rear emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, lane-departure warning, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, Intelligent Lane Intervention, and ProPilot Assist.

• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy reaches a Natural Resources Canada-estimated 11.8 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 9.6 highway, and 10.8 combined for Platinum models.

Which Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder offers these trims:

• Rock Creek: Adds the rugged-themed trim with a 3.5-litre V6, 295 hp and 270 lb-ft on premium fuel, all-wheel drive, and towing up to 2,720 kilograms; best if you want the more distinctive look and extra capability focus.

What Nissan Pathfinder do most buyers choose?

The Nissan Pathfinder years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be the easiest place to shop because you get more choice in trims, colours, and pricing. They also usually give you a better chance of finding a well-kept example with the equipment you want.

What is the Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

Most Pathfinder model years are showing double-digit year-over-year price declines, which is good news if you are shopping used. The newer years are still falling, but they are doing so a bit less sharply than some older ones, which suggests stronger demand for recent inventory. Overall, the pattern points to improving value for buyers across much of the lineup.

The 2023, 2014, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Nissan Pathfinder safe?

• 2026: 8/10
• 2025: 9/10
• 2023: 9/10
• 2022: 9/10

Standard driver aids include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, rear emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, lane-departure warning, and active assists for the lane keeping and blind spot systems.

For the safest used buy, the 2022, 2023 and 2025 models all post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
