Not the quickest car in the world, but economical, cheap to insure and easy to mod/fix. You can have a laugh while not having to worry about the value of the car. Much quicker than a corsa/clio/saxo on similar specs and very underrated.

car of the year 1992+1993, 1275CC Twin cam 16V DOHC electronic fuel injected all aluminium engine capable of revving to 9000rpm. 76bhp from factory but well over 115bhp with nothing more than an ECU remap and a 4 branch manifold, weighing only 750kg's (ish) and with 5 speed close ratio gearbox (as compared to fiestas and saxos) 0-60 can be had in as little as 8.5 seconds!! add that to japanese build quality and reliability and you have a car that is unmatched in any sector, especially when you can get one now for £300!! bargain!
