What Mercedes-Benz S-Class do most buyers choose?

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class years with the most listings are 2018, 2017, and 2016.

These higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a wider selection of used examples at more approachable prices. That combination makes them easier to compare and shop than newer, pricier model years.

What is the Mercedes-Benz S-Class's resale value?

Most model years show meaningful price declines year over year, which can work in your favour if you are shopping used. The largest drops are concentrated in older and mid-cycle years, while the newest model year has moved down only slightly. That pattern suggests stronger value opportunities in the used market, especially if you are open to a previous-generation example.

The 2024, 2019, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
