Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Highway Drive Assist II, lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, remote smart parking, a 360-degree camera system, and a blind view monitor.
• Infotainment: A clear, crisp 27-inch OLED screen housing both a digital gauge cluster and infotainment system, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Which Genesis GV80 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Genesis GV80 offers these trims:

• Advanced: The 2.5-litre engine and standard all-wheel drive make this the entry point, and it suits you if you want the GV80’s core luxury feel with the lower-priced powertrain.
• Advanced Technology Package: This is the best-value trim because it adds the larger engine option and more equipment while staying below the top trim.
• Prestige: This trim brings the larger twin-turbo six-cylinder engine and the most upscale presentation in the 2025 range.

What Genesis GV80 do most buyers choose?

The Genesis GV80 years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2022.

Higher-listing years usually give you more choice in colours, trims, and equipment combinations, which makes it easier to compare condition and pricing. They also tend to be the years shoppers cross-shop most often because inventory is deeper and easier to browse.

What is the Genesis GV80's resale value?

The table shows broad downward movement across the model range, which can work in your favour if you're shopping used. The larger drops are especially helpful for buyers targeting newer examples, since they can bring more equipment and newer design updates at a lower price than when new.

The 2024, 2021, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Genesis GV80 now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −16.88% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −13.3%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 24.6% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 30%.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Genesis kept the powertrain options the same for 2025. A 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine is standard fare on the GV80. This power plant puts out 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
• Tech: All trims of the GV80 get a clear, crisp 27-inch OLED screen housing both a digital gauge cluster and infotainment system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both here.
• Safety: Genesis’s Highway Drive Assist II is standard, and it’s been updated with an attention monitor.
• Starting price: In Canada, the 2025 GV80 is available with the 2.5-litre engine in Advanced and Advanced Technology Package trims, and pricing ranges from $75,000 to $95,500 CAD.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
