Which Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?
The 2026 Genesis GV70 offers these trims:
- Advanced: The entry trim brings the 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, standard all-wheel drive, and the 27-inch OLED display, making it the core value pick for shoppers who want the GV70’s main strengths at the lowest price.

What Genesis GV70 do most buyers choose?
The Genesis GV70 years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 126 | 34.9% |
| 2025 | 119 | 31.1% |
| 2023 | 116 | 35.3% |
| 2026 | 111 | 26.1% |
| 2022 | 95 | 34.7% |
| 2027 | 61 | 19.7% |
Higher-volume years usually give you more choice in colour, trim, and equipment, which makes it easier to find the right balance of price and features. They also tend to be the years shoppers cross-shop most often, so the market for them is usually more active.
What is the Genesis GV70's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | $43,759 CAD | −13.19% |
| 2025 | $54,531 CAD | −12.53% |
| 2022 | $36,951 CAD | −9.34% |
| 2024 | $53,609 CAD | −2.66% |
The table shows broad downward movement across the model years, which is good news if you are shopping used. Some years have fallen sharply, while others have eased more modestly, so there are opportunities to find stronger value depending on how recent you want to go. The smallest changes are concentrated in the newer end of the range, which suggests those versions have been softer to move in price.
The 2024, 2022, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Consider waiting if:

Great value for the money. Compares to Audi Q5, lexus RX350 and Porsche Macau with similar trim options. GV70 definately a better ride than either Audi or Porsche as they were very stiff and overall handling goes to GV70 as well. Lexus was smoother ride but felt underpowered and handling not as tight as Genesis. Pricing for Genesis just under Lexus, but blows Audi and Poesche out of the warer.

Why it stands out
The 2024 Genesis GV70 stands out as a distinctive take on the small luxury SUV theme. It brings stylish design, impressive technology, and multiple powertrain options to a segment where those qualities matter a great deal. It is also described as a very fresh model, which helps explain why it feels current and competitive.
What makes the 2024 Genesis GV70 especially appealing is that it offers something the competition does not: an all-electric powertrain option. That gives buyers a broader choice than many rivals in the small luxury crossover class. At the same time, it is not without drawbacks, since its ergonomic design is poor and its ride and handling are described as merely adequate. Even so, the GV70’s combination of style, tech, and powertrain variety gives it a clear identity.
