Used 2024 Genesis GV70 for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2024 Genesis GV70 cost?

Prices have softened 7.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 153 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2024 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a distinctive take on the small luxury SUV theme, with stylish design, impressive technology, and multiple powertrain options. That makes it a strong fit if you want an upscale, modern compact luxury crossover that doesn’t stray far from the core formula.

The main trade-offs are that the cabin’s ergonomic design is only average, and the ride and handling are merely adequate. In other words, you’re buying it more for style and tech than for class-leading comfort or driving dynamics.

With 30.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2024 Genesis GV70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GV70 is described as a fresh model that launched for 2022, which can be reassuring if you want a newer design with current technology and powertrain choices. Its standard all-wheel drive and available electric variant add breadth without making the lineup feel dated.

The performance side is competent rather than fragile-sounding: the gasoline models use an eight-speed automatic, while the Electrified GV70 pairs front and rear electric motors with a 77.4-kWh battery pack. Genesis also backs the vehicle with five years/100,000 km of comprehensive warranty coverage and scheduled maintenance.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing the right version for your needs, since the ride quality and efficiency vary by powertrain and trim.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Genesis GV70?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GV70’s styling is distinctive across the lineup, but the gasoline Sport trim adds large round exhaust outlets and the available 21-inch wheels. Base models use 19-inch wheels, so you should check whether the features you want are standard or reserved for higher grades.
• Powertrain: The gasoline GV70 uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 horsepower, while the available 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 makes 375 hp. The Electrified GV70 adds front and rear electric motors with 429 hp and a 77.4-kWh battery pack, plus a Boost Mode that briefly raises output to 483 hp.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, parking assist sensors, and Highway Driving Assist. Highway Driving Assist 2 adds automated lane-change capability and blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: All GV70 models come with a 14.5-inch touchscreen and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Lower trims get an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, while higher grades get a 12.3-inch unit; a 12-inch head-up display and a 16-speaker Lexicon audio system are also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-four with 19-inch wheels is rated at 10.5 L/100 km combined, while the twin-turbo V6 is rated at 11.6 L/100 km combined. The Electrified GV70 is rated at 380 km of range.

Which 2024 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Genesis GV70 is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Advanced Plus, 2.5T Prestige, and 3.5T Sport.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T Advanced: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the GV70’s style, standard all-wheel drive, and core luxury features without stretching the budget. It gives you the essential package and keeps the model’s appeal intact.
• 2.5T Advanced Plus: This trim makes sense if you want a more complete luxury experience while staying with the efficient base turbo-four. It adds equipment over the Advanced and should suit you if you want a better-balanced daily driver.
• 2.5T Prestige: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the base engine lineup. It’s the trim to target if you value a richer feature set more than outright performance.
• 3.5T Sport: This is the choice for you if you want the stronger V6 and the more aggressive character that comes with it. It’s the performance-oriented gasoline trim, but it also sits at the top of the price range.

Gasoline versions of the 2024 GV70 received the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award, and the Electrified GV70 received the same award as a 2023 model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Genesis GV70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 153 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,906 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $47,906 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,650 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

The GV70’s broad appeal should help support demand, especially because it combines style, technology, and multiple powertrain choices in a compact luxury SUV package. Strong feature content and a fresh design can help keep it attractive on the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Genesis GV70 safe?

The 2024 Genesis GV70 earns the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award for gasoline versions.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, parking assist sensors, and Highway Driving Assist. Highway Driving Assist 2 is available as an upgrade and adds automated lane-change capability plus blind-spot monitoring.

One caveat is that complete 2024 NHTSA ratings were not available at the time of publication. For gasoline models, the agency did publish four-star frontal and rollover crash-test ratings.

Should I buy a 2024 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds a distinctive all-electric powertrain option while keeping the GV70’s fresh, stylish appeal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,038 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $47,906 CAD average.
• It offers a polished cabin and a strong sense of presence.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the freshest version with the strongest market momentum and the GV70’s distinctive mix of style, tech, and powertrain choice. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the smarter value play.
