This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

The current average of $26,015 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,724 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and service history to protect value. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Edge or consider a different year?
