What should I look for when buying a used Ford Bronco?
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Co-Pilot360 safety suite on the 2025 Big Bend trim and above.
- Infotainment: 12-inch touchscreen with the latest Sync 4 infotainment software, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada-rated fuel economy of 12.9 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 11 highway, and 12.1 combined.
Which Ford Bronco trim should I buy?
The 2025 Ford Bronco offers these trims:
- Bronco: The base model gives you the entry point to the lineup, with two- and four-door body styles, the standard 12-inch touchscreen, and the core Bronco character. It suits you if you want the most affordable way into the range.
- Big Bend: This is the best-value trim for most buyers, adding heated front seats and the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety package, and it can also be paired with the Sasquatch package.
- Outer Banks: This trim adds leather seating surfaces, LED lighting, and the option of a turbocharged V6, making it a strong pick if you want more comfort and a more upscale feel.
- Badlands: Built for tougher terrain, this trim adds bigger tyres, an upgraded suspension package, a classier interior, and a front sway-bar disconnect.
- Heritage: This trim leans into the retro look and includes the Sasquatch package as standard equipment.
- Stroppe Edition: This two-door special edition is marketed as race-ready and brings a distinctive red, white, and blue appearance.
- Raptor: The top performance model adds the most powerful engine, an ultra-wide body kit, huge tyres, and a dramatically lifted suspension.
What Ford Bronco do most buyers choose?
The Ford Bronco years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2022.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 452 | 29.4% |
| 2024 | 348 | 32.5% |
| 2022 | 338 | 30.2% |
| 2025 | 271 | 30.3% |
| 2021 | 223 | 26.9% |
| 2026 | 107 | 33.6% |
Higher-listing model years tend to draw more shopper attention because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, colour, and price. They also often become the natural sweet spot for used buyers balancing availability and value.
What is the Ford Bronco's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|

| 2022 | $40,421 CAD | −10.36% |
| 2021 | $37,985 CAD | −10.35% |
The Bronco’s prices are down across every model year shown, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The newest model years show the steepest drops, while the older ones have smaller year-over-year changes. That pattern gives you more room to find value in recent inventory without paying close to original pricing.
The 2021, 2022, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Ford Bronco safe?

Should I buy a used Ford Bronco now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −18.3% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −11.97%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 30.3% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 32.5%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2023 model has the most listings at a current average price of $49,673 CAD. The Ford Bronco offers a rugged, distinctive character that blends retro styling with genuine off-road capability.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The base 2.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine spins out 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, while the optional turbocharged 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 ups output to 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque.
- Tech: The 2025 Ford Bronco comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen that runs the latest Sync 4 infotainment software, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.
- Safety: The 2025 Bronco Badlands, Heritage, Stroppe, and Raptor include a more advanced 4WD system with an Automatic mode, and the Outer Banks and Badlands trims can be equipped with an optional Lux package that adds a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, and evasive steering assist.
- Starting price: The 2025 Bronco starts at $50,760 CAD in base trim with four doors.
If you're buying used today, the 2023 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

Many appreciate its powerful engines, stylish designs, and versatility, making it a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts. Key highlights include the spacious interior and comfortable ride, which add to its charm. However, some drivers have concerns about fuel economy, noise levels in certain models, and the practicality of cargo space. Despite these drawbacks, the Bronco remains a beloved choice for those seeking adventure and fun in a truck.

Love my Bronco! The only thing missing is front parking sensor cameras. It only comes with rear cameras.

I really like all of the features - the large screen is great for navigation and the Alexa add on is nice.

Great car for outdoors. Ford could have provided little more storage space -- like above the glove box or behind seats. Noise level can also be further reduced, for it to be used as a commuter vehicle during week :) Overall, it is a very good alternative to Jeep providing superior offroad experience.

CarGurus recommends the 2022 Ford Bronco

Summary
With 334 currently listed for sale and an average price of $40,449 CAD, 29.9% of 2022 Ford Bronco listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2022 Ford Bronco 4.5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8 / 10.
Why it stands out
The 2022 Ford Bronco stands out because it delivers serious off-road ability without giving up everyday drivability. The expert test drive data describes it as “that good,” and says it is as off-road capable as the Jeep Wrangler while being significantly better to drive on pavement. It also notes that the Bronco’s deep roster of models gives buyers something for almost any skill level and a wide range of budgets, which helps make it a flexible choice rather than a one-size-fits-all SUV.
Practicality is another strength, with plenty of cargo space among its advantages and multiple body styles adding to its appeal. At the same time, the Bronco is not without compromises: advanced safety features are not standard, and its safety scores are middling. The model’s popularity is also a factor, since the source says it was already sold out for 2022, which underlines how in-demand it was.
