Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the Chevrolet Colorado is a strong used pickup choice if you want a truck that blends capability, comfort, and versatility. The all-generations owner rating is 4.24/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners repeatedly praise its smooth ride, good towing ability, and spacious interior, and they also like how well it works for both family use and job-site duty. The Colorado also earns credit for its performance and useful mix of utility and everyday drivability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist and Safety Package with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a safe following distance indicator.

• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine returns as little as 11.1 litres per 100 kilometres in combined city and highway driving (RWD models), and our test vehicle averaged 13.4 L/100 km during the test drive.

Which Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado offers these trims:

• WT: The work-truck foundation gives you the Colorado’s core capability at the entry point, and it suits buyers who want a straightforward truck with room to build up from there.
• LT: This mid-grade trim adds a more polished everyday setup and serves as the basis for the Z71, making it a strong value choice if you want a balanced mix of equipment and usability.
• Trail Boss: This trim adds an off-road-tuned suspension with a five-centimetre factory lift, a wider stance, all-terrain tires, Off-Road and Terrain driving modes, and hill descent control.
• Z71: Built from the LT, this trim adds off-road capability for buyers who want a more adventurous setup without moving to the top of the range.
• ZR2: The top trim adds even more features and extra off-roading hardware, including 33-inch mud-terrain tires and Multimatic DSSV dampers.

What Chevrolet Colorado do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Colorado years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to draw more shoppers because they offer newer features, broader availability, and a wider spread of prices. That combination gives you more choice when you’re comparing trims, equipment, and deal quality.

What is the Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

Most Colorado model years are down year over year, and several have posted double-digit declines. That pattern is helpful if you’re shopping used, because it opens up more value in recent and mid-cycle trucks. A small number of years are holding up better than the rest, including one that has moved up slightly.

The 2015, 2023, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
