What should I look for when buying a used Audi Q7?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the Q7 with the 55 TFSI power plant at 13.0 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 10.0 on the highway, and 11.7 combined; the smaller engine has 12.0 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway, and 10.7 combined.
• Infotainment: Audi’s Multi Media Interface (MMI) infotainment system is housed on a 10.1-inch centre screen with a smaller screen below for HVAC controls, and wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto runs on the main screen.
• Safety package: The 2025 Q7 has advanced driver-assistance systems including blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, cruise control, adaptive cruise control on upper trims, and self-parking in parallel and perpendicular spaces.

Which Audi Q7 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi Q7 offers these trims:

• Q7: The base trim is the best-value choice, and it gives you the Q7’s core design, standard Matrix-design LED headlamps, and the option to add the more potent engine.
• Progressiv: This trim adds the 3.0-litre turbo V6 as standard, making it a strong pick if you want more power and smoother all-round performance.
• Technik: The top trim adds the most equipment and suits you if you want the most fully loaded Q7, though the price climbs quickly.

What Audi Q7 do most buyers choose?

The Audi Q7 years with the most listings are 2018, 2022, and 2017.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, mileage, and price combination. They also often sit in the sweet spot between newer features and lower used prices.

What is the Audi Q7's resale value?

Most model years are posting double-digit price declines, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want stronger value. Newer examples are also moving down, so recent model years may be easier to justify than they were a year ago. A few older years are changing more slowly, and one is even edging up.

The 2014, 2015, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Audi Q7 safe?

• 2025: 6/10
• 2020: 8/10

The 2025 Q7 includes advanced driver-assistance systems such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control on upper trims, and self-parking.

For the safest used buy, the 2020 model posts the highest confirmed score of 8/10.
