The 2022 Q7’s appeal comes from its refined road manners, practical cabin, and strong everyday usability, but it also has some ownership considerations to keep in mind. The cabin can feel cold and technical, repair costs can be high, and it requires premium fuel. For used buyers, that means the long-term risk is less about basic appeal and more about budgeting for upkeep and running costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 137 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $36,887 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $36,887 CAD sits slightly below last year's $46,599 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more attractive level today, but it also means future resale will depend on how well the market holds up. If prices stabilise, a lower entry point can reduce your depreciation exposure compared with buying when values were higher. Strong demand for a well-equipped luxury SUV with practical space should help support interest when you eventually sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 Q7 makes sense if you want a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong usability and you can take advantage of today’s softer pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a similar Q7 can save you more upfront while still giving you the space and refinement you want.
