New & Used 2026 Volvo XC60 for Sale near Vineland, ON

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 a good car?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 earns an expert rating of 6.5/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It’s a compact luxury crossover that feels more current thanks to the new Volvo Car UX infotainment system, which adds an 11.2-inch touchscreen, Google Gemini integration, and a better overall user experience. The XC60 also leans into the premium side of the segment with a polished cabin, comfortable seats, stylish design, and upscale materials.

The trade-offs are clear: it’s described as sluggish, its fuel economy is poor, and the driver assistance tech is unimpressive. Even so, if you want a refined compact SUV that prioritises comfort and a luxurious cabin over performance, the XC60 still makes sense.

25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there’s some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 reliable?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 is presented as a familiar, well-established compact luxury SUV with updated technology and standard safety equipment, which supports its everyday dependability. The new infotainment system and improved wireless smartphone charger help modernise the ownership experience, while the powertrain uses a 48-volt mild-hybrid setup with regenerative braking.

The performance notes also point to a powertrain that is more about smooth, predictable commuting than excitement, and the free four-year connected services plan is a useful ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the XC60’s premium features and complex technology may be more expensive to live with if you want a trouble-free, low-stress ownership experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Volvo XC60?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XC60 B5 is offered in Core, Plus, and Ultra trim levels, with the Ultra also available in Black Edition. The Core is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, while the Ultra is the most appealing if you care about the cabin’s premium feel and available upgrades.
• Powertrain: The B5 uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 247 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, plus a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s not quick-feeling in everyday driving, so make sure the power delivery suits your expectations.
• Safety package: Pilot Assist combines adaptive cruise control with lane centring assist, and the XC60 also includes forward collision warning, oncoming collision mitigation braking, and intersection braking assist. The base setup is not especially impressive in real-world use, so pay attention to how the system behaves on your test drive.
• Infotainment: The new system centres on an 11.2-inch touchscreen with Volvo Car UX, Google built-in, Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Gemini, and Google Play. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, but Apple CarPlay requires a wired connection.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 9.0 L/100 km in combined driving, and the test route returned 9.5 L/100 km on one loop and 10.8 L/100 km on a mountainous route.

Which 2026 Volvo XC60 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 is offered in 3 trim levels: Core, Plus, and Ultra.

Here’s the short version:

• Core: This is the entry point, but the available information points to the XC60’s strongest appeal being its cabin quality and updated tech, so the Core is best only if you’re focused on getting into the model at the lowest price.
• Plus: This is the trim to target if you want a better balance of equipment and value without chasing the most expensive upgrades. It should suit most used buyers who want the XC60’s comfort and premium feel without overpaying.
• Ultra: This is the best-value choice if you want the XC60 at its most luxurious. The Ultra is the trim that brings the cabin’s upscale character to the forefront, and it’s the one to consider if you want the most complete version of this SUV.

The XC60’s safety tech is standard, but the driver assistance system is not especially strong compared with rivals, so don’t expect a trim upgrade to transform that side of the experience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Volvo XC60?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 63 listings available.

Is the 2026 Volvo XC60 safe?

The 2026 Volvo XC60 did not earn a Top Safety Pick or a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and five-star ratings in each individual crash test except for rollover resistance.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The XC60 does include a strong list of standard safety equipment, including forward collision warning that can detect large animals, pedestrians, and cyclists, oncoming collision mitigation braking, intersection braking assist, and Pilot Assist, which combines adaptive cruise control with lane centring assist. Volvo also offers integrated rear booster child seats as an option.

The caveat is that the driver assistance tech is not a strong point. The lane-keeping and adaptive cruise functions can be inconsistent, and the system lacks more advanced hands-free or traffic-jam features. If safety is your top priority, that shortfall matters.

Should I buy a 2026 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• The new Volvo Car UX infotainment system, with its 11.2-inch touchscreen and Google Gemini integration, is the main reason to focus on this year.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest XC60 experience, the 2026 model is the one to target because the updated infotainment system meaningfully modernises the cabin. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may make more sense, especially if you’re willing to trade away the latest tech for a lower asking price.
