New & Used 2026 Toyota Sienna for Sale near Brentwood Bay, BC

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an expert rating of 6.5/10, the 2026 Toyota Sienna is a strong fit if you want a family-focused minivan that prioritises space, efficiency, and practicality over flash. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The Sienna’s appeal is rooted in its all-hybrid lineup, its reputation as one of the most efficient minivans on the market, and its useful packaging for three-row family duty. It also brings an SUV-like look, standard hybrid power, and available AWD for extra winter traction.

The trade-offs are that it is not especially exciting to drive, the latest generation can be expensive, and the maximum cargo room trails some rivals.

With 29.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Toyota Sienna is presented as a dependable family hauler with a long-standing reputation for reliability, and its hybrid setup is part of that appeal. Its powertrain is described as foundationally sound, and the vehicle’s overall mission is clearly built around durability, efficiency, and everyday usefulness.

Toyota also includes generous trial subscriptions to connected services, which adds some ownership value early on. Some owners have reported issues with the 12V battery system, and overactive sensors for the power sliding doors and power liftgate can contribute to battery drain.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that those battery-related concerns may require extra attention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited trims each bring different equipment levels, and the base trim is already well equipped with keyless entry, push-button start, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and plenty of USB ports. The cabin materials are a weak point, so check whether the trim you’re considering gives you the features you want without forcing you into the pricier upper end.
• Powertrain: Every Sienna is a hybrid with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder gas engine, a nickel-metal hydride battery pack, and an electric motor. It makes 245 horsepower, and e-AWD is available on the LE and XSE trims and standard on the Limited trim in Canada.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes high beam assist, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and lane centring assist. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, while higher trims add a surround-view camera and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The base setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch partially digital instrument panel. A 12.3-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster become standard at the XLE and XSE trims respectively. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and over-the-air capability is not stated.
• Fuel efficiency: According to Natural Resources Canada, an AWD Sienna should consume 6.8 L/100 km combined. In testing, it returned 7.6 L/100 km on the fuel-efficiency loop and 8.8 L/100 km on the mountainous evaluation route.

Which 2026 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Sienna is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the most affordable way into the Sienna, and it already gives you the core hybrid powertrain, standard wireless smartphone integration, and the safety basics you want in a family minivan. It’s the trim to consider if you want the Sienna’s efficiency and practicality without paying for extras you may not need.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 12.3-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster while keeping the Sienna’s practical strengths intact. If you want a more modern cabin without jumping too far up the price ladder, this is the sweet spot.
• XSE: This trim builds on the XLE’s equipment and is the one to look at if you want the sportier-looking version with the available XSE Technology Package. It also offers available e-AWD, which may matter if you want extra winter traction.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich trim, with standard e-AWD in Canada and access to higher-end equipment such as the available Platinum Package, plus features like the onboard vacuum and FridgeBox refrigerated box. It suits you best if you want the most upscale Sienna experience.

Higher trim levels add a surround-view camera and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Toyota Sienna?

Is the 2026 Toyota Sienna safe?

The Sienna earned a three-star driver protection rating and a four-star front passenger protection rating from NHTSA, along with five-star ratings in each side impact test and a four-star rollover resistance rating. It also received a Marginal result in the updated IIHS moderate overlap front impact test that measures second-row occupant protection, and it does not qualify for a Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ award.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes high beam assist, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and lane centring assist. Blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard as well, while higher trims add a surround-view camera and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking.

The main caveat is that its safety ratings need improvement, especially given the IIHS result for second-row occupant protection.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It stands out for standard hybrid power, available AWD, and class-leading fuel economy for a minivan.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers a standard hybrid powertrain with practical features and available AWD.

The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the latest version of the Sienna’s efficiency-first formula and are shopping the current market. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it delivers much of the same practical appeal and may cost less.
