New & Used 2026 Honda Pilot for Sale near Vermilion Bay, ON

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot a good car?

The 2026 Honda Pilot earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

That lines up with the Pilot’s family-first mission: it offers a comfortable cabin, plenty of cargo space, and plenty of passenger space, while the updated exterior gives it a more truck-like presence without changing its basic formula. It also keeps the clever features that help it stand out in the three-row SUV class.

The main trade-off is the lack of a more fuel-efficient model, since there is no hybrid option. Another drawback is that the Pilot remains fundamentally the same as before, so the 2026 changes are more evolutionary than transformative.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot reliable?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is presented as a familiar, carryover-style SUV, and that usually helps when you want a used vehicle with a known formula. Its 3.5-litre V6, 10-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive are all established parts of the package, and the driving impressions suggest a well-sorted powertrain that responds reasonably quickly and feels confident in everyday use.

Honda also describes the Pilot as remaining structurally unchanged from 2025, which supports the idea that you are looking at a proven design rather than a major redesign. The safety systems are also broadly consistent across the lineup, which can be reassuring for long-term ownership.

If you are buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that you are still living with the Pilot’s fuel-economy limitations over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin and exterior are broadly similar across the lineup, but the top trims add more distinctive seat materials and visual detailing, while the base Sport misses some convenience and safety equipment that appears on higher trims.
• Powertrain: You get the same 3.5-litre V6 across the range, with 285 horsepower and a 10-speed automatic transmission; all-wheel drive is standard in Canada.
• Safety package: Every trim gets Honda Sensing, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and customizable on-screen shortcuts. A wireless phone charger requires an upgrade to the EX-L trim.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pilot is estimated to return 11 L/100 km combined in the Sport and EX-L trims, 11.2 L/100 km combined in the Touring and Black Edition trims, and 11.8 L/100 km combined in TrailSport configuration.

Which 2026 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Pilot’s core strengths, including the standard V6, standard all-wheel drive, and the full Honda Sensing suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-priced way into the lineup and do not need extra luxury or convenience features.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds the kind of equipment that makes daily use easier, and the source material specifically points to it as the trim that should satisfy most buyers thanks to its removable second-row seat and front-row leather seats.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the Pilot’s more rugged side. The source material calls it an outlier for its decent off-road abilities, so it is the one to consider if that character matters to you.
• Touring: This trim adds more upscale equipment, including a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate. It is the right pick if you want more comfort and convenience, though the price jump is harder to justify.
• Black Edition: This is the top trim, with the most distinctive appearance and the highest price. It is for you if you want the most fully dressed-up Pilot rather than the best value.

All Pilot trims come with the Honda Sensing safety suite, but only the Sport misses the low-speed automatic braking and parking proximity sensors.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2026 Honda Pilot had not yet been rated by NHTSA or IIHS at the time of writing, but Honda says it remains structurally unchanged from 2025, when the model earned strong results and a Top Safety Pick from IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All Pilot trims come with the Honda Sensing suite of safety features, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport model also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

One caveat is that the forward collision warning can be a bit too sensitive, and lane-departure warning can also be sensitive if you do not track the lane markings closely.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 22.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Clever features help it stand out, and the cabin updates keep the Pilot feeling current.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It is roomy, practical, and easy to live with, with standard AWD and a simple lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the latest Pilot styling and updated tech, the 2026 is the cleaner choice. If you are focused on value and want a proven family SUV, the 2025 remains a sensible alternative.
