New & Used 2026 Honda Pilot for Sale nearQualicum Beach, BC

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot a good car?

The 2026 Honda Pilot earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It fits your needs well if you want a family-focused midsize three-row crossover with a practical layout, plenty of cargo space, and plenty of passenger space. The latest update gives it a more truck-like presence, but it remains fundamentally the same as before, which is a plus if you liked the Pilot’s familiar formula.

The trade-offs are clear: there is no hybrid option, and fuel efficiency is one of the few areas where it falls short of the competition. Even so, the Pilot’s combination of comfort and utility makes it a strong choice for shoppers who value space and straightforward usability.

With 22.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot reliable?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is presented as a familiar carryover in its core mechanical setup, which supports confidence if you want a straightforward used SUV. Honda’s latest update keeps the same 3.5-litre V6, 10-speed automatic transmission, and standard all-wheel drive in Canada, and the driving impressions point to a vehicle that responds reasonably quickly and feels confident in everyday use.

The Pilot’s dependability story is also helped by the fact that the latest changes are mostly cosmetic and tech-related rather than a major mechanical overhaul. The available information also suggests the SUV’s systems are generally well sorted, with the features sampled working flawlessly overall.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you are still living with the Pilot’s less efficient powertrain and its occasional low-speed smoothness quirks.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sport is the entry point, while the EX-L should satisfy most shoppers with its removable second-row seat and front-row leather seats. The Touring adds a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate, but the price jump may not be worth it for you. The Black Edition sits at the top of the range, and the TrailSport stands apart for its decent off-road abilities.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses the same 3.5-litre V6 with 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. In Canada, all-wheel drive is standard.
• Safety package: Every trim gets Honda Sensing, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel across the lineup, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless phone charging requires the EX-L trim or higher.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pilot is estimated at 11 L/100 km combined in the Sport and EX-L trims, 11.2 L/100 km combined in the Touring and Black Edition trims, and 11.8 L/100 km combined in TrailSport configuration.

Which 2026 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the least expensive way into the Pilot, and it gives you the full family-SUV formula with standard all-wheel drive, the same V6 powertrain as every other trim, and the full Honda Sensing safety suite. It is the value play if you want the Pilot’s core strengths without paying for extras.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds front-row leather seats, a removable second-row seat, and wireless phone charging, making it the sweet spot if you want more comfort and flexibility without moving too far up the price ladder.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the Pilot’s decent off-road abilities and are willing to accept its higher fuel consumption. It is the most specialised trim in the lineup.
• Touring: This trim adds a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate. It suits you if those convenience and luxury upgrades matter more than value.
• Black Edition: This is the top trim, aimed at buyers who want the most upscale presentation and are comfortable paying for it.

All trims include Honda Sensing, but only the Sport misses out on automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2026 Honda Pilot’s crash-test results were not available at the time of writing, but the previous model earned a Top Safety Pick from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Every trim comes with Honda Sensing, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

One caveat to keep in mind is that the forward collision warning can be a bit too sensitive, and lane-departure warning can be similarly sensitive if you drift from the lane markings.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 22.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• It keeps the Pilot’s familiar strengths while adding a more truck-like look and larger standard screens.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It is roomy, practical, and easy to live with.

The bottom line: If you want the latest Pilot with updated styling and tech, the 2026 is the cleaner choice. If you are shopping mainly on value and want the same basic family-friendly formula, the 2025 is worth a look for price-sensitive buyers.
