New & Used 2026 Honda Pilot for Sale nearPlantagenet, ON

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot a good car?

The 2026 Honda Pilot earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

That lines up with the Pilot’s role as a family-focused midsize three-row SUV: it gives you a practical layout, lots of passenger room, and plenty of cargo space, while the updated exterior adds a more truck-like presence without changing the core formula that already works well. The main trade-off is straightforward: you do not get a hybrid option, so efficiency-minded shoppers will need to look elsewhere.

For used shoppers, that makes the Pilot a strong fit if you value comfort, space, and familiar usability over maximum fuel savings. The market also shows 25.0% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot reliable?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is presented as a familiar carryover with the same 3.5-litre V6 and standard all-wheel drive in Canada, which supports the sense that you are buying a proven formula rather than a major redesign. The expert assessment also describes it as confident in everyday driving, with acceleration that is more than adequate and a powertrain that responds reasonably quickly.

From a dependability standpoint, the Pilot’s straightforward mechanical setup is a plus for long-term ownership because there is no hybrid system to add complexity. The only ownership risk that stands out for used buyers is that you are still living with a larger family SUV, so fuel costs remain a recurring downside.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport trim gives you the essentials, but higher trims add more comfort and convenience. The EX-L is the one to watch if you want front-row leather seats and a removable second-row seat, while the Touring adds a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate. The TrailSport is the outlier if you want its decent off-road abilities.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses the same 3.5-litre V6 with 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD in Canada. The Pilot is described as adequately quick and confident, but not sporty.
• Safety package: All trims get Honda Sensing, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel on all trims, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless phone charger is not included until the EX-L trim.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pilot is estimated at 11 L/100 km combined in the Sport and EX-L trims, 11.2 L/100 km combined in the Touring and Black Edition trims, and 11.8 L/100 km combined in TrailSport configuration.

Which 2026 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Pilot’s core strengths without the higher-price extras. It is the trim to consider if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with the essentials.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds front-row leather seats, a removable second-row seat, and the wireless phone charger. If you want the sweet spot between price and comfort, this is the one to target.
• Touring: Choose this if you want more luxury-style equipment, including a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate. The price jump is harder to justify unless those features matter to you.
• TrailSport: Pick this if you want the Pilot’s decent off-road abilities and its more rugged character. It is also the least efficient version.
• Black Edition: This sits at the top of the range and is the most expensive choice. It is for you if you want the most upscale presentation and are willing to pay for it.

All Pilot trims come with the Honda Sensing safety suite, while all but the base Sport also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings rather than rushing into the first decent example you see.

• Deal availability: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2026 Honda Pilot does not yet have published crash-test results from NHTSA or IIHS, but the 2025 model received five-star ratings from NHTSA and was named a Top Safety Pick by IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All Pilot trims come with the Honda Sensing suite of safety features, which includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport model also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

One caveat to keep in mind is that the forward collision warning can be a bit too sensitive, and lane-departure warning can also be sensitive if you drift from the lane markings.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals. It keeps the Pilot’s familiar strengths while adding a more truck-like look and updated tech.
• Consider the 2025 if: It offers the same roomy, practical formula with standard AWD and a simpler setup.
• The bottom line: Buy the 2026 if you want the updated styling and larger standard screens, especially if you find a well-priced example. If you are mainly focused on value and can live without the latest refresh, the 2025 remains a sensible alternative for price-sensitive buyers.
