New & Used 2026 Honda Pilot for Sale near Douglas, ON

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot a good car?

The 2026 Honda Pilot earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It keeps the familiar Pilot formula intact, which works in your favour if you want a midsize three-row SUV that prioritises comfort, passenger room, and cargo space. The updated look gives it a more truck-like presence, but the core appeal is still practicality and a cabin that meets or exceeds class expectations for quality and construction.

The main trade-off is straightforward: there is no hybrid option, so if fuel efficiency is a top priority, you’ll want to look elsewhere. The Pilot’s 25.4% good-or-great deal share suggests there are still some worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot reliable?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is presented as a familiar carryover, and that continuity is a good sign for long-term dependability if you prefer a proven formula. Its 3.5-litre V6 and 10-speed automatic are described as confident and adequate, and the steering revisions for 2026 are aimed at improving stability and feedback rather than changing the basic character.

Honda also includes the Honda Sensing safety suite across the lineup, which points to a well-equipped ownership experience. The Pilot’s lack of a hybrid option is the main ownership compromise, especially if you plan to keep it for many years and want lower running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The entry Sport trim is the most basic version, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience. The EX-L is the one to watch if you want front-row leather seats and a removable second-row seat, and the Touring adds a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate. The TrailSport stands apart for its decent off-road abilities, while the Black Edition sits at the top of the range.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses the same 3.5-litre V6 with 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. In Canada, all-wheel drive is standard.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport model also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.
• Infotainment: All trims get a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but you need to move up to the EX-L for a wireless phone charger.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pilot is estimated at 11 L/100 km combined in the Sport and EX-L trims, 11.2 L/100 km combined in the Touring and Black Edition trims, and 11.8 L/100 km combined in TrailSport configuration.

Which 2026 Honda Pilot trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda Pilot is offered in 5 trim levels: Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, Black Edition.

Here’s the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the full Pilot powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, the large new infotainment screen, and the core Honda Sensing safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-priced way into the lineup.
• EX-L: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. It adds front-row leather seats, a removable second-row seat, and the wireless phone charger, making it the sweet spot for family use.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the Pilot’s decent off-road abilities and are willing to accept its higher fuel consumption.
• Touring: This trim adds a panoramic sunroof, premium audio, and a hands-free power liftgate, but the price jump is harder to justify unless you really want those extras.
• Black Edition: This is the top trim and brings the most upscale presentation, but it is best for buyers who want the fully loaded version rather than the best value.

All trims come with Honda Sensing, but only the Sport misses out on automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda Pilot?

• Inventory: There are 130 listings available.

Is the 2026 Honda Pilot safe?

The 2026 Honda Pilot’s crash-test results were not available at the time of writing, but the previous model was named a Top Safety Pick by IIHS and earned a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on all trims and includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, a traffic-sign reader, and automatic high-beam headlights. All but the base Sport model also get automatic braking at low speeds and parking proximity sensors.

One caveat to keep in mind is that the forward collision warning can be a bit too sensitive, and lane-departure warning can also be sensitive if you drift from the lane markings.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 25.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• It keeps the Pilot’s familiar formula while adding a more truck-like look and larger standard screens.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers the same roomy, practical Pilot formula with standard AWD and a simpler lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the latest Pilot styling and updated tech, the 2026 is the better pick. If you’re mainly focused on value and can find a cleaner deal, the 2025 remains an easy recommendation because it delivers the same core strengths with a familiar setup.
