New & Used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid for Sale nearThunder Bay, ON

How much does the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 7.34% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 573 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for shoppers who want a practical compact crossover. The model stands out as a well-rounded compact crossover with a light refresh for 2026, and the hybrid powertrain improves an already appealing package. Honda also keeps the technology straightforward and easy to use, which should make it especially attractive if you want a practical SUV without a steep learning curve.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The main trade-offs are its underwhelming off-road chops and limited tech features, including no SiriusXM radio. If you want efficiency, comfort, and simplicity more than rugged capability, it fits that use case well.

With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is presented as a well-rounded, practical SUV, and the hybrid system is described as excellent. The performance notes also say the 1.5-litre turbo-four used in the gas trims had oil-dilution issues in earlier CR-Vs, but that problem has since been remedied. Honda backs the vehicle with a three-year, 60,000-kilometre warranty, which helps reduce early ownership risk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright dependability and more about choosing the right trim for your needs, since the TrailSport’s added rugged styling does not translate into serious off-road hardware.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TrailSport Hybrid adds orange badges, grey 18-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, black door handles, and orange contrast stitching with embroidered headrests, while the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid add more premium touches. The base hybrid trims are more straightforward, so you should check whether you want the TrailSport look or the extra comfort and convenience equipment higher up the range.
• Powertrain: The hybrid trims use a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle engine with two electric motors for 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. The system replaces a traditional transmission, offers multiple regenerative braking settings and a one-pedal driving option, and is tuned for smooth, efficient driving rather than rugged use.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard on every model and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Front and rear parking sensors are standard only on the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid trims.
• Infotainment: Every 2026 CR-V gets a nine-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a physical phone-projection button. Touring Hybrid models add Google built-in, and the TrailSport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, and Touring Hybrid also get a 10.2-inch digital driver information display.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid comes in at 6.4 L/100 km in combined driving on most models, while the TrailSport Hybrid is rated at 6.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport Hybrid, TrailSport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, and Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Sport Hybrid: This is the entry point to the hybrid range, and it gives you the core hybrid powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, the nine-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Honda Sensing. It is the best-value choice if you want the hybrid system without paying for extra luxury or trail-themed equipment.
• TrailSport Hybrid: Choose this if you want the most distinctive look in the range, plus all-terrain tires, grey 18-inch wheels, orange accents, and the added traction focus that comes with the TrailSport treatment. It is the right pick if style matters and you like the idea of a more adventure-flavoured CR-V, but it is not a true off-road model.
• EX-L Hybrid: This trim is the smart step up if you want more comfort and convenience, including the 10.2-inch digital driver information display and standard front and rear parking sensors. It should suit you if you want a more premium daily driver without going all the way to the top trim.
• Touring Hybrid: This is the most fully equipped version, with Google built-in, the 10.2-inch display, and the 12-speaker Bose audio system. It makes sense if you want the most technology and the richest feature set in the lineup.

Front and rear parking sensors are standard only on the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 573 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.34% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,153 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $48,153 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,969 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you are planning to sell soon. A future seller may need to be more competitive on price to stand out, especially if similar listings remain plentiful. Even so, the CR-V Hybrid’s strong reputation and broad appeal should help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

The 2026 Honda CR-V had not been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety at the time of writing, nor had it been crash-tested by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every model and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Front and rear parking sensors are standard only on the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid trims.

The main caveat is that the TrailSport does not add extra cameras, so you do not get forward-view or side-view angles for trail use.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 adds a light refresh and a new TrailSport trim level, while keeping the hybrid powertrain, easy-to-use technology, and strong ride quality.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the CR-V Hybrid with the updated trim walk and the same core strengths, the 2026 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may be the better path, especially if you can find a lower-priced example with the equipment you want.
