How much does the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 6.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 556 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for you to compare trims and prices.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid a good car?

Yes — you get a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall package. The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is positioned as a well-rounded compact crossover with a light refresh, a new TrailSport trim level, and a hybrid powertrain that improves an already appealing formula. Honda also keeps the technology straightforward and easy to use, which should suit you if you want a practical SUV without a steep learning curve.

The trade-offs are clear: the off-road ability is underwhelming, and the TrailSport name does not turn it into a serious adventure vehicle. The cabin’s tech is also limited, and SiriusXM radio is not included.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

With 33.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is described as a practical, comfortable SUV with a hybrid system that improves efficiency without making the vehicle feel complicated to live with. The expert review also notes that the 1.5-litre turbo-four’s earlier oil-dilution issue has been remedied, which is a reassuring sign for used buyers.

The hybrid system is presented as seamless in operation, and the ride quality is described as outstanding, both of which support the case for durable everyday ownership. Honda also backs the vehicle with a three-year, 60,000-kilometre warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not mechanical drama so much as paying a premium for a vehicle that may not deliver the rugged capability some shoppers expect from the TrailSport name.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TrailSport Hybrid adds orange badges, grey 18-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, black door handles, and orange contrast stitching with embroidered headrests, while the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid add more premium equipment. The base hybrid trims are better if you want the core efficiency and comfort story without paying for extra appearance or convenience features.
• Powertrain: The hybrid trims use a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle engine with two electric motors for 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. The system is praised for seamless handoff between electric and gasoline power, effortless low-speed acceleration, and multiple regenerative braking settings with a one-pedal driving option.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Front and rear parking sensors are standard only on the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid trims.
• Infotainment: All 2026 CR-Vs get a nine-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. The Touring Hybrid adds Google built-in, and the TrailSport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, and Touring Hybrid get a 10.2-inch digital driver information display.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid comes in at 6.4 L/100 km combined on most models, while the TrailSport Hybrid is rated at 6.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport Hybrid, TrailSport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, and Touring Hybrid.

Here's the short version:

• Sport Hybrid: This is the entry point to the hybrid lineup, and it gives you the core 2.0-litre hybrid system, standard all-wheel drive, and the easy-to-use tech setup without stretching your budget. It is the best-value choice if you want the hybrid experience first and foremost.
• TrailSport Hybrid: Choose this if you want the TrailSport look and the added traction from all-terrain tires, but keep in mind that the content does not describe it as a true off-road model. It suits you best if style and light adventure appeal matter more than serious trail use.
• EX-L Hybrid: This trim adds more comfort and convenience, including front and rear parking sensors and the larger digital driver display. It is the sensible upgrade if you want a more premium daily driver.
• Touring Hybrid: This is the most fully equipped version, with Google built-in and the 12-speaker Bose audio system. It makes sense if you want the most technology and premium features in the range.

Front and rear parking sensors are standard only on the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 556 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,289 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $48,296 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,746 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what a future seller can ask in the near term. If you buy at the right price, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to the previous year’s average. The model’s strong reputation and broad appeal should still support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

The 2026 Honda CR-V had not been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or crash-tested by NHTSA at the time of writing, but the mechanically identical 2025 model received a Top Safety Pick designation from the IIHS and five stars for overall crashworthiness by the NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every model and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Front and rear parking sensors are standard only on the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid trims.

The rearview camera includes dynamic directional guidelines, but the resolution is soft. The TrailSport also does not add extra cameras, so you do not get forward-view or side-view angles for trail manoeuvring.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model adds a light refresh and a new TrailSport trim level.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the CR-V Hybrid with the updated trim walk and strong everyday usability, the 2026 is the one to target. If your priority is simply getting the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2026 still gives you a compelling mix of efficiency, comfort, and straightforward tech.
