Used 2025 Volvo XC90 for Sale nearMerritt, BC

How much does the 2025 Volvo XC90 cost?

Prices have softened 14.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 197 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Volvo XC90 a good car?

The 2025 Volvo XC90 earns an 8.3/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

It pairs a refreshed design with updated materials and feature offerings, and it still comes across as a refined three-row SUV with a premium feel. The trade-offs are that semi-autonomous driving is not available, and the top-tier sound system costs extra even on the top trim. For you, that means the XC90 makes the most sense if you want style, substance, and family-friendly luxury rather than the latest hands-free driving tech.

With 30.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Volvo XC90 reliable?

The 2025 Volvo XC90’s safety reputation and smooth operation of its standard driver-assistance systems support its case as a reassuring used buy.

Volvo’s standard advanced driver-assistance systems are described as operating smoothly, and they did not interfere erroneously during the test drive. The XC90 also uses a functional, cautious approach rather than chasing flashy tech, which can be a plus if you value straightforward operation. Its plug-in hybrid version needs regular charging to deliver its fuel-saving benefits, so long-term ownership works best if you can keep up with that routine.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a premium, technology-rich SUV can become costly if you neglect maintenance or buy one that has not been well cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volvo XC90?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Core version is the least expensive, while Plus and Ultra packages add equipment and refinement. The base trim uses quilted Nordico, and the Ultra package brings perforated Nappa leather or herringbone weave textile, so you should check whether the features you want are included or require moving up.
• Powertrain: You can choose between the B6 mild hybrid and the T8 plug-in hybrid. The B6 is the more user-friendly, hassle-free option, while the T8 adds an electric motor and an 18.8-kWh battery pack and can travel up to 53 kilometres on electric power when fully charged.
• Safety package: Standard advanced driver-assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping aid, lane-departure warning, and the blind-spot information system. It also includes active collision-avoidance features such as intersection auto brake and large animal detection.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen is larger, sharper, and uses a new user interface with a fewer-taps approach. Apple CarPlay is standard and works wirelessly or via USB-C cable, and the top-end Ultra package adds a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid offers up to 3.8 litres-equivalent per 100 kilometres when charged and used as intended.

Which 2025 Volvo XC90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Volvo XC90 is offered in 3 trim levels: Core, Plus, Ultra.

Here's the short version:

• Core: This is the entry point and the best fit if you want the XC90’s core strengths without stretching for extras. It gives you the standard safety and technology foundation, and it is the trim to start with if value matters most.
• Plus: This is the sensible upgrade if you want more comfort and equipment without jumping all the way to the top. It adds meaningful refinement and is the trim that should appeal to most shoppers looking for the best balance.
• Ultra: This is the right choice if you want the most luxurious XC90 experience, including the most premium interior materials and the strongest tech and audio options. It suits you best if you plan to keep the vehicle longer and want the richest feature set.

The standard safety package is well equipped across the range, so you can shop by comfort and convenience rather than needing to move up for basic protection.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volvo XC90?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 197 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $69,930 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volvo XC90's resale value?

The current average of $69,930 CAD sits slightly below last year's $82,210 CAD.

That price drop suggests the XC90 has become more approachable for used buyers, but it also means sellers may face more competition. If you own one, strong condition and desirable equipment will matter more when it comes time to list it. For future resale, the best protection is a well-documented service history and a trim level that buyers tend to want.

Is the 2025 Volvo XC90 safe?

The 2025 Volvo XC90 earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping aid, lane-departure warning, and the blind-spot information system. It also includes active collision-avoidance features such as intersection auto brake and large animal detection. The main caveat is that it does not offer a hands-free highway-driving system, which some rivals provide.

Should I buy a 2025 Volvo XC90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.94% compared with last year.
• The refreshed styling, updated materials, and improved ride comfort appeal to you.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,937 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $69,930 CAD average.
• It remains a distinctive luxury SUV with appealing design and a plug-in hybrid option.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the updated styling, improved cabin, and stronger overall polish. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better value play.
