The current average of $30,238 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,809 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make future resale expectations more conservative. A well-priced purchase can help you preserve more value when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Taos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2025 is the better starting point. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you can also compare nearby years and focus on the best-priced example rather than the newest one.
