What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited, with the Limited and Platinum package adding more upscale equipment. Base trims have smaller displays, and the LE has three-zone climate control instead of the four-zone setup found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: You get a hybrid system with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive adds a rear-mounted electric motor for extra traction.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also included.
• Infotainment: Higher-spec models get a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen for Toyota Audio Multimedia. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and connected services add more capability when active.
• Fuel efficiency: The official combined fuel consumption figure is 6.6 L/100 km, and the evaluation loop returned 8.9 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Sienna is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the Sienna’s hybrid efficiency and family-friendly packaging at the lowest starting point. It gives you the core Sienna experience, but you give up some of the richer tech and comfort features found higher up.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more everyday comfort and convenience without pushing you all the way to the top of the range. If you want a more complete family vehicle, this is the trim to focus on first.
• XSE: Choose this if you want a sportier look and a sport-tuned suspension. It is the trim for buyers who want a little more personality, but you should still keep expectations realistic about driving excitement.
• Limited: This is the trim to buy if you want the most upscale Sienna experience. It brings the richest tech and convenience content, including the larger displays and premium features that make long family trips easier.

The Safety content points to Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 across the lineup, with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert included on all Siennas.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so it makes sense to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 284 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $58,189 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $59,196 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,575 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to ease. The Sienna’s value story still benefits from its hybrid efficiency, practical packaging, and broad family appeal. If demand stays steady, those strengths should help support used-market interest over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2025 Sienna earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, but it also scores four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star protection for the driver in a frontal impact.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

A notable caveat is that the Sienna does not use Toyota’s newer Safety Sense 3.0 system, and the NHTSA frontal result is weaker than the overall score suggests.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.40% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds new rear-seat reminder technology and keeps the useful hybrid-and-AWD formula.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $54,657 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,196 CAD average.
• It is a comfy, efficiency-focused hybrid with plenty of safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the latest convenience updates and you value the 2025’s current market softness, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
