Is the 2025 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2025 RAM 3500 stands out as a heavy-duty truck that has moved well beyond its workhorse roots. It combines serious capability with a much more upscale feel than earlier generations, and its appeal is tied to the way it blends towing strength, payload capacity, and everyday usability. It also offers the kind of technology many buyers now expect in a daily driver, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, large touchscreen infotainment systems, cameras, and a broad set of standard safety features.

For buyers who need a truck that can handle serious hauling while still feeling modern and comfortable, this model fits that brief well. Its wide range of configurations also makes it easier to tailor to your needs, whether you want a regular cab, crew cab, mega cab, or chassis-cab setup.

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2025 RAM 3500 is presented as a heavy-duty truck with a strong focus on capability, modern convenience, and a more upscale feel than earlier generations. Its appeal comes from the combination of towing strength, payload capacity, and the kind of technology you would expect in a daily driver.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is a very large, highly capable truck, so upkeep and day-to-day use can be more demanding than with a smaller vehicle.

• Inventory: There are 352 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.70% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $85,824 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $85,824 CAD sits slightly below last year's $96,110 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the used market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future resale values may face some pressure if you plan to sell later. If you buy at the right price now, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit when it is time to move on. For a future seller, condition, mileage, and configuration will matter even more in a market where prices have already eased.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.70% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the right path if you want the latest version of this heavy-duty truck’s capability-and-comfort formula and you can take advantage of the softer pricing. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you similar utility for less money, so it is worth comparing listings closely before you commit.
