Used 2025 RAM 2500 for Sale near Dorchester, ON

How much does the 2025 RAM 2500 cost?

Prices have softened 16.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 334 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 RAM 2500 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It is built around serious capability, with the overview framing it as a heavy-duty pickup for hauling loads, camping, and off-road use. The expert notes back that up with strong towing ability, a powerful engine, and increasing levels of luxury and refinement.

The main trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and that it gets expensive fast. For you, that means the RAM 2500 makes the most sense if capability matters more than keeping the purchase simple or inexpensive.

29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 RAM 2500 is presented as a serious heavy-duty truck that is meant to work hard while still offering more refinement than you might expect in this class. The expert notes also point to a well-regarded diesel option and a revised powertrain setup for 2025, which supports the idea that this truck is engineered for demanding use.

The performance notes describe the diesel as a heavily revised version of the turbocharged 6.7-litre inline-six, and the truck’s towing-focused hardware reinforces its durability-minded design. Ram also says the diesel now comes standard in High Output spec for 2025, which is a meaningful mechanical upgrade.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is cost: a truck this capable can be expensive to buy and keep, especially if you want the higher-spec equipment that many shoppers will consider essential.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 RAM 2500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tradesman is the most basic version, with cheap-looking black plastic up front and fewer standard comfort touches, while the Big Horn adds a more polished step up. The Laramie brings the luxury feel into focus with leather seating surfaces and larger touchscreen options, and the Limited Longhorn and Limited push further into premium territory. If you want the best value, the Laramie is the trim where the truck’s upscale character starts to show clearly without jumping all the way to the top end.
• Powertrain: You can shop this truck with a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 or the revised turbocharged 6.7-litre Cummins inline-six diesel. The diesel is the standout for torque and towing, while the Hemi remains the standard engine and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard, but park assist sensors are not included on the base Tradesman. The optional Safety Group adds adaptive steering, active lane management, automatic high beams, drowsy driver detection, and rain-sensing wipers on Tradesman and Big Horn trucks.
• Infotainment: An 8.4-inch touchscreen comes standard on the two lowest trims, while a 12-inch unit is standard on the Power Wagon, Rebel, and Laramie. The biggest 14.4-inch screen is standard on the two upper-crust trims, and Ram also offers a passenger screen on some versions.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-consumption figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2025 RAM 2500 trim should I buy?

The 2025 RAM 2500 is offered in 6 trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Power Wagon, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the work-focused starting point, and it makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and plan to add the equipment you need. It is also the trim where the missing standard safety and convenience features are most noticeable, so it suits buyers who are willing to build up from a basic truck.
• Big Horn: This is the sensible step up if you want a more polished everyday truck without jumping into luxury pricing. It is a better fit than the Tradesman if you want a more complete ownership experience while still keeping the truck grounded in work-truck value.
• Power Wagon: This is the off-road specialist, with electronic locking front and rear differentials and a disconnecting sway bar. It is the right choice if your priorities lean heavily toward rock crawling and trail use.
• Rebel: This is the better pick if you want off-road ability but still need to tow regularly. The expert notes make clear that it is less extreme than the Power Wagon, but more versatile for mixed-duty use.
• Laramie: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it is where the luxury and technology upgrades become genuinely substantial. You get leather, a larger touchscreen, and a more upscale cabin without moving all the way to the top of the range.
• Limited Longhorn: Choose this if you want the most distinctive upscale interior character, with its cowboy-themed design and premium materials. It is aimed at buyers who want their heavy-duty truck to feel especially special inside.
• Limited: This is the most understated luxury choice, with open-pore wood and premium leather details. It is the trim to consider if you want maximum refinement without the more themed look of the Longhorn.

The Safety Group is the key trim-level safety note to watch for on Tradesman and Big Horn trucks.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 2500?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 334 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.63% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $80,985 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $80,985 CAD sits slightly below last year's $97,134 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can be good news if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. A softer market usually means future sellers may need to price more competitively to attract attention.

The truck’s strong capability and premium positioning should still help it hold interest among buyers who need heavy-duty strength. If demand stays centred on towing, hauling, and off-road use, well-equipped examples should remain easier to move than more basic or less desirable configurations.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 RAM 2500 safe?

The 2025 RAM 2500 earns a four-star rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Ram includes forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking as standard equipment, and park assist sensors are standard on all but the base Tradesman trim. The optional Safety Group adds adaptive steering, active lane management, automatic high beams, drowsy driver detection, and rain-sensing wipers on Tradesman and Big Horn trucks.

You can also add camera-based safety tech through packages, including a surround-view camera system and a Cargo View Camera. The main caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup, so you will want to check carefully which truck has the equipment you expect.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a meaningful upgrade with a revised High Output diesel and more luxury refinement.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a few noteworthy updates and a new pair of trim levels.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, capability, and refinement, the 2025 is the better starting point. If you are especially price-sensitive, shop the 2025 first and use the softer market to your advantage; if you want the newest updates and can wait, the 2026 is worth a look.
