Used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearPort Elgin, ON

How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 10.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 328 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns an expert rating of 7.33/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It is a well-rounded three-row SUV that focuses on value, practicality, and everyday usability, with excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, and a modern design. For you, that means it makes the most sense if you want a family haulier that feels sensible rather than flashy.

The main trade-offs are that it is not as composed on the road as some competitors and its tech is unimpressive.

At 36.0% good or great deals, the market still offers a fair amount of attractive pricing.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is presented as a solid, reliable experience across ownership, with a tried-and-true 3.5-litre V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission that operates unobtrusively.

Its long-running engine design should also help with familiarity for mechanics and parts availability, which is reassuring if you plan to keep the SUV for the long term. The Pathfinder’s overall package leans practical rather than complicated, which can be a plus for used buyers who want fewer surprises.

If you are shopping used, the main long-term risk is that a vehicle with this much capability and weight can be more expensive to run if it has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S and SV use cloth seats, while the Rock Creek adds leatherette-and-cloth upholstery with orange accents and a more adventurous look. The SL moves to full leather, and the Platinum upgrades to quilted semi-aniline leather in the first and second rows. The Rock Creek looks tougher, but it does not add extra ground clearance or skid plates.
• Powertrain: You get one engine, a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6. Output varies by trim, with the Rock Creek tuned higher than the S, SV, SL, and Platinum. The nine-speed automatic is standard, and the Rock Creek and Platinum also get a transmission oil cooler.
• Safety package: Every trim includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and ProPilot Assist. Traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: The S, SV, and Rock Creek use an 8-inch screen, while the SL and Platinum get a 9-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, but wireless projection is limited to the 9-inch screen and only for Apple devices. Navigation is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rock Creek returns 11.9 L/100 km in city driving, 10.0 on the highway, and 11.1 combined. Other trims return 11.7 L/100 km city, 9.3 highway, and 10.6 combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, Platinum, and Captain’s Chairs.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra convenience and luxury features found higher up. It still gives you the Pathfinder’s core strengths, including standard safety tech and all-wheel drive.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more complete everyday experience without jumping too far in price. It also gets the moonroof that the S misses.
• Rock Creek: This is the trim to choose if you want the most distinctive look and a more adventurous personality. It adds all-terrain tyres, a roof rack, and a tougher appearance, but it is less composed on-road and does not add extra ground clearance.
• SL: This is the smart upgrade if you want a more premium cabin and better tech. It adds leather seating, a larger screen, navigation, and traffic sign recognition.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with quilted semi-aniline leather, ventilation, a 12.3-inch driver display, and a Bose audio system.
• Captain’s Chairs: This is the right pick if you specifically want the seating layout upgrade and are willing to pay more for it.

Every Pathfinder trim includes the standard ADAS suite, and traffic sign recognition is reserved for the SL and Platinum.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some confidence if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 328 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $50,242 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $50,242 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,310 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pathfinder has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy at today’s average, you are entering at a lower point than last year’s market, which can help cushion depreciation risk in the near term.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that value retention looks softer than it did a year ago. A well-kept example with desirable equipment should still be easier to move than a neglected one, but you should not expect last year’s pricing strength to return immediately.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as well as a five-star overall rating in crash testing performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Digging deeper, the NHTSA awarded it four stars in overall frontal crash testing and four stars in its roll-over evaluation.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Pathfinder trim comes with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and ProPilot Assist.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.
• It delivers a well-rounded package with excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, and a competitive price.

Consider the 2026 if:

• Nissan refreshed it with more convenience features and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the stronger buy because pricing has eased and the SUV already covers the essentials well. If you are willing to pay more for updated convenience and tech, the 2026 is the better path; otherwise, the 2025 makes more sense for price-sensitive buyers who prioritise practicality.
