How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 10.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 314 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns an expert rating of 7.33/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It’s a well-rounded three-row SUV that focuses on value, practicality, and everyday usability, with excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, and a modern design. The trade-offs are that it does not have a single standout feature that clearly puts it ahead of rivals, and its on-road composure is not as strong as some competitors.

With 32.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is presented as a solid, reliable experience across ownership, with a tried-and-true 3.5-litre V6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission that operates unobtrusively. The expert assessment also points to familiar mechanicals and readily available parts, which can be reassuring if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul.

Its overall character leans toward dependable family duty rather than complexity, and the standard all-wheel drive and traction modes add to its everyday usefulness. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its softer suspension and modest efficiency may make it less satisfying if you want sharper road manners or lower running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S and SV use cloth seats, while the Rock Creek adds leatherette-and-cloth upholstery with distinctive orange accents. The SL moves to leather seats, and the Platinum upgrades to quilted semi-aniline leather in the first and second rows. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated outboard mirrors, and heated washer nozzles are standard, but the Platinum is the only trim with seat ventilation.
• Powertrain: Every Pathfinder uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with a nine-speed automatic. The S, SV, SL, and Platinum make 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque on regular fuel, while the Rock Creek is tuned to 295 hp and 270 lb-ft and recommends premium fuel. The Rock Creek’s all-terrain tyres can also blunt acceleration and efficiency.
• Safety package: Every trim gets blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and ProPilot Assist. Traffic sign recognition is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: The S, SV, and Rock Creek use an 8-inch screen, while the SL and Platinum get a 9-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, but wireless projection is limited to Apple devices and only on the 9-inch screen. Navigation is standard only on the SL and Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rock Creek is rated at 11.9 L/100 km in the city, 10.0 on the highway, and 11.1 combined. Other trims return 11.7 L/100 km city, 9.3 highway, and 10.6 combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, Platinum, and Captain’s Chairs.

Here’s the short version:

• S: This is the value play if you want the Pathfinder’s core strengths at the lowest price. You still get standard all-wheel drive, the full safety suite, and the same basic family-friendly layout, but you give up the nicer cabin materials and convenience upgrades found higher up.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a moonroof while staying below the more expensive luxury-oriented versions. If you want a balanced mix of price and comfort, this is the trim to focus on.
• Rock Creek: This is the one to choose if you want the Pathfinder’s most distinctive look and a more adventurous personality. It adds all-terrain tyres, a roof rack, unique trim details, and the stronger engine tune, but it is less composed on-road and less efficient than the other trims.
• SL: This is the smart step-up if you want more comfort and tech without going all the way to the top. It adds leather seats, a larger screen, navigation, and traffic sign recognition, making it a strong middle-ground choice.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious Pathfinder, with quilted semi-aniline leather, ventilation, the larger driver display, a Bose audio system, and the most available tech. It makes sense if you want the most upscale version and are willing to pay for it.
• Captain’s Chairs: This is the family-focused choice if you want second-row captain’s chairs instead of the standard bench. It is the priciest Pathfinder configuration, so it suits you best if passenger comfort matters more than maximum seating capacity.

Every trim gets the same strong standard safety package, and traffic sign recognition is reserved for the SL and Platinum.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

The current market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 314 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.31% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $50,358 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $50,972 CAD sits slightly below last year's $56,830 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Pathfinder has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help support demand in the near term. For a future seller, it also means you may need to price competitively if you want to stand out in a market with meaningful inventory. If the model continues to hold its value through its practical strengths and safety reputation, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than less versatile rivals.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as well as a five-star overall rating in crash testing performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Digging deeper, the NHTSA awarded it four stars in overall frontal crash testing and four stars in its roll-over evaluation.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Pathfinder trim comes with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and ProPilot Assist. Traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum trims.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.31% compared with last year.
• It adds slight updates that make an already well-rounded, value-focused SUV more appealing.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings a refresh with more convenience features, a larger touchscreen, and updated styling.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2025 is the safer bet because pricing has eased and inventory is available. If you’re willing to wait for newer convenience and tech upgrades, the 2026 is the better path; otherwise, a well-priced 2025 should make more sense for price-sensitive buyers.
