How much does the 2025 Nissan Murano cost?

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Nissan Murano earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall showing for shoppers who want a comfortable, well-equipped crossover. The model’s makeover brings a new powertrain and a wide range of new tech and comfort features, while the test-drive notes also call out its stylish design and extremely comfortable front row.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: some desirable features were removed from the more affordable middle trim, and the back seat is tight. It also lacks true hands-free driving, even on the top trim.

With 25.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is enough market activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Murano’s redesign leans into a new powertrain and updated equipment, and the expert notes describe the new automatic transmission as a substantial improvement over the old CVT. That matters for dependability because a more conventional transmission can make day-to-day driving feel more predictable and less strained when you need to pass or merge.

The model also adds Nissan Safety Shield 360 and ProPILOT Assist, which can reduce driver workload in routine commuting. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the newest generation brings meaningful changes, so you’ll want to verify that the specific vehicle you’re considering has the equipment and trim content you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Murano?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gets the standard 12.3-inch dual-screen display setup, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard all-wheel drive, while the SL adds Google Built-In, a 10-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, and the glass-effect dash treatment. The Platinum adds a head-up display and a 21-inch wheel style, but the middle trim loses leather seating surfaces for 2025.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is rated at 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and the new transmission is described as a major improvement over the old CVT.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, with lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. ProPILOT Assist is also included, while SL and Platinum trims get ProPILOT Assist 1.1, which adds navigation-based speed adjustment. Higher trims also add Transparent Hood View and a more advanced Intelligent Around View Monitor.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses two 12.3-inch screens in a single housing, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Google Built-In appears on the SL, and the Platinum adds a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Murano is rated at 10.6 L/100 km in the city, 8.6 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Murano trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Murano is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the value play if you want the new Murano’s core strengths without stretching to the pricier trims. You still get the standard all-wheel drive, the dual 12.3-inch display setup, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, and the full Safety Shield 360 suite.
• SL: This is the best-value trim if you want the Murano to feel properly upscale. It adds Google Built-In, the 10-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, the glass-effect dash treatment, and ProPILOT Assist 1.1.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most feature-rich Murano, including the head-up display and the 21-inch wheel style. It is the trim for you if you want the fullest premium experience and do not mind paying for it.

The SL and Platinum also get the more advanced safety and visibility upgrades, including Transparent Hood View and the upgraded Intelligent Around View Monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 146 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.68% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $46,013 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $46,013 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,304 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future buyers but may limit upside for a seller in the near term. If you plan to sell later, the Murano’s value will likely depend on how well it holds its premium appeal and feature content relative to newer rivals. A well-equipped example should still attract interest, especially if it remains in good condition and has the desirable trim equipment shoppers are looking for.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano safe?

The 2025 Nissan Murano comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, and the redesign adds Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist for extra driver support. The SL and Platinum trims also get ProPILOT Assist 1.1, plus a more advanced 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor and Transparent Hood View.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Higher trims add navigation-based speed adjustment through ProPILOT Assist 1.1, but true hands-free driving is not available.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a major redesign with a new powertrain, more standard tech, and a more premium-feeling cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Murano with the biggest jump in design, technology, and driving refinement, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is lower purchase price, a nearby model year may make more sense, but you’ll give up some of the fresh features and updated feel that define this generation.
