How much does the 2025 Nissan Murano cost?

Prices have softened 12.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Nissan Murano earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

The Murano’s appeal is strongest if you want a stylish, comfort-first crossover with a more premium-leaning feel than before. Its new powertrain, updated cabin, and broad set of new features make it feel much more modern, and the extremely comfortable front row is a clear highlight. The trade-offs are worth weighing, though: the back seat is described as having poor legroom, and true hands-free driving is not available.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 28.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Murano is presented as a major redesign with a new powertrain and a broader feature set, which usually helps a model feel more current and easier to live with. The new nine-speed automatic is described as a substantial improvement over the old CVT, and the turbocharged engine is said to be torquier than the previous V6 setup. Nissan also adds active noise cancellation, which should help the cabin feel calmer in daily use.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that this generation also brings some feature reshuffling, so you’ll want to verify that the trim you’re considering still has the equipment you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Murano?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gets the new look, standard 20-inch wheels, and a modern cabin layout, while the SL adds the glass-inspired dash treatment, Google Built-In, a Bose audio system, ambient lighting, and more advanced driver assistance. The Platinum adds a 21-inch wheel style and a head-up display. The middle trim is also the one where some desirable equipment was removed for 2025.
• Powertrain: You’re looking at a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard in Canada.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, with lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. ProPILOT Assist is also standard, while SL and Platinum get ProPILOT Assist 1.1, which adds navigation-based speed adjustment. Base trims do not get the more advanced version.
• Infotainment: Every Murano gets dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and four USB-C ports. SL adds Google Built-In and a 10-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, while Platinum adds a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Murano is rated at 10.6 L/100 km in the city, 8.6 on the highway, and 9.7 combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Murano trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Murano is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the new powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, wireless smartphone integration, dual 12.3-inch displays, and the full Safety Shield 360 suite. It makes the most sense if you want the redesign’s core strengths without stretching for extras.
• SL: This is the best-value trim if you want the Murano to feel properly upscale. It adds Google Built-In, a Bose audio system, ambient lighting, the more advanced ProPILOT Assist 1.1, and the 3D Around View Monitor with moving object detection, plus Transparent Hood View.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most fully loaded Murano. It adds a head-up display and the 21-inch wheel style, while keeping the SL’s upgraded safety and tech features.

The SL and Platinum trims get the more advanced safety package, including ProPILOT Assist 1.1 and Transparent Hood View.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.70% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $46,502 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $46,502 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,267 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Murano is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can make it harder for a seller to command top dollar right away. If you’re planning to sell later, the current trend implies you may need to price competitively to stand out. On the other hand, a well-equipped Murano with the right trim and condition should still attract interest from shoppers who want comfort and style in a mainstream crossover.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano safe?

The 2025 Murano earns a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The Murano also adds ProPILOT Assist, which combines Intelligent Cruise Control with Steering Assist, while SL and Platinum trims get ProPILOT Assist 1.1 with navigation-based speed adjustment. Those higher trims also add a more advanced 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor with moving object detection and Transparent Hood View.

A key caveat is that true hands-free driving is not available, even on the top trim.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It’s the first year of the fourth generation, with a new powertrain, a much more modern cabin, and a broader set of tech and comfort features.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Murano design, the 2025 is the one to target. It brings the biggest update in years and feels more premium than the outgoing model, but you should still compare trims carefully because some desirable features were moved up the lineup or removed from the middle trim. If price matters most, a used 2024 may still appeal, but the 2025 is the better pick if you want the fresh redesign and the latest safety and tech package.
