How much does the 2025 Nissan Murano cost?

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Nissan Murano earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating, which points to a strong overall showing for this redesign. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

The appeal is easy to see if you want a crossover that feels more upscale than basic transportation: the redesign brings a new powertrain, more modern tech, and a stylish cabin and exterior. The trade-offs are just as clear, though. Some desirable features were removed from the middle trim for 2025, and true hands-free driving is not available.

34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a reasonable chance of finding a competitive offer if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Murano’s redesign leans into comfort, modern features, and a new powertrain, which should help it feel more current than the outgoing model. The expert notes also point to a more refined automatic transmission than the old CVT, which is a positive sign for everyday dependability and drivability.

The new setup should be appealing if you want a smoother, more modern-feeling crossover, but as with any used example, you’ll want to pay close attention to how the added technology and newer hardware have aged in real-world use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Murano?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the core redesign, standard 20-inch wheels, and a strong equipment list, while the SL adds the glass-effect dash treatment, Google Built-In, a 10-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, and more advanced driver assistance. The Platinum adds a 21-inch wheel style and a head-up display. The middle trim lost genuine leather seating surfaces for 2025, so that’s worth checking if you’re comparing used examples.
• Powertrain: You’re looking at a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard in Canada.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. ProPILOT Assist is also standard, while SL and Platinum trims get ProPILOT Assist 1.1 with navigation-based speed adjustment. Base trims do not get the more advanced version.
• Infotainment: Every Murano gets dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and four USB-C ports. SL trims add Google Built-In and the Bose audio upgrade, while Platinum adds a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Murano is rated at 10.6 L/100 km in the city, 8.6 on the highway, and 9.7 combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Murano trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Murano is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the redesigned Murano, standard all-wheel drive, the dual 12.3-inch display setup, wireless smartphone integration, and the full Safety Shield 360 suite. It’s the best-value choice if you want the new generation without paying for extras you may not need.
• SL: This is the sweet spot if you want the Murano’s more upscale personality to come through. You get Google Built-In, the 10-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, and the more advanced ProPILOT Assist 1.1 system. It also gets the glass-effect dash treatment.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most fully equipped Murano, including the 21-inch wheel style and head-up display. It’s the top choice for shoppers who want the most premium presentation and don’t mind paying for it.

The SL and Platinum trims also get the more advanced ProPILOT Assist 1.1 system and Transparent Hood View.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $47,377 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $47,377 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,544 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Murano has become more accessible for used buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. The current market is not showing strong upward pressure, so condition, mileage, and trim will matter a lot when it’s time to resell.

For you, that means a well-kept example with the right equipment should still be easier to move than a neglected one, but you should not expect a big premium just because it’s the newest generation.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Murano safe?

The 2025 Murano earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with Nissan Safety Shield 360, which includes lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Nissan also adds ProPILOT Assist, and SL and Platinum trims get ProPILOT Assist 1.1 with navigation-based speed adjustment. Those higher trims also add a more advanced 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor with moving object detection and Transparent Hood View.

The outgoing Murano earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS, and the redesigned model adds a passenger-side airbag and reinforced seating. One important limitation remains: true hands-free driving is not available.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a new powertrain, more modern tech, and a more upscale feel than the outgoing model.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Murano’s styling, tech, and comfort upgrades, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is lower purchase price, a nearby older model year may be worth considering, especially if you can live without the latest redesign and equipment changes.
