Used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander for Sale nearNewcastle, ON

How much does the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 17.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 484 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns an expert rating of 6.67/10.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It’s a midsize crossover that has been lightly sharpened rather than reinvented, with the biggest changes focused on the cabin, technology, and suspension tuning. That makes it appealing if you value comfort and a quiet cabin, especially since its stereo is a standout feature.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is sluggish, and the design may not be for everyone. The third row is also cramped, so you should weigh that limitation carefully if you need maximum passenger space.

Only 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is presented as a comfort-focused, quiet crossover with a long warranty, which helps support confidence for used buyers. Its standard powertrain warranty is 10 years/160,000 kilometres, and Mitsubishi also includes a 5-year/unlimited-kilometre roadside assistance plan.

The expert assessment also points to a vehicle that has been improved for 2025 with revised suspension tuning and added sound deadening, while the powertrain itself is unchanged. That means the core mechanical package is familiar, but it still carries the same modest-performance character.

The fuel-economy result is not especially strong for the class, and the engine’s lack of urgency is a recurring theme. For long-term ownership, that suggests you should prioritise a well-maintained example and be prepared for a driving experience that favours comfort over pace.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gets the essentials, but the cabin becomes more appealing as you move up, especially in the GT Premium where you get quilted leather seats, more soft-touch surfaces, and the best presentation inside. The styling is polarising, so you should decide whether the look works for you before you shop.
• Powertrain: You’re looking at a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and standard S-AWC all-wheel drive. It’s tuned more for comfort than speed, and the expert drive notes that acceleration is sluggish.
• Safety package: The base model includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control starts at the LE, while lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability start at the GT grade.
• Infotainment: Every Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get a physical volume knob, a button for the camera system, USB-C ports, and a wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada gives the Outlander a combined fuel rating of 8.8 L/100 km.

Which 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 6 trim levels: ES, SE, LE, SEL, GT, and GT Premium.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point, and it gives you the standard S-AWC all-wheel drive plus the core safety and infotainment equipment. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Outlander and can live without the extra convenience features higher up.
• SE: This trim is the next step up in the lineup, so it’s the one to consider if you want a little more equipment without jumping too far in price.
• LE: This is the first trim that adds adaptive cruise control, which makes it the better-value choice if highway driving matters to you.
• SEL: This trim sits in the middle of the range and is worth considering if you want a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top.
• GT: This is where you get lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability. It’s the trim to target if you want the most complete safety and convenience package without stretching to the top model.
• GT Premium: This is the most luxurious version, with quilted leather seats, plenty of soft-touch surfaces, the 12-speaker, 1,650-watt Yamaha audio system, a rear camera mirror, and a head-up display. It’s the best fit if you care most about cabin ambience and premium features.

The safety package starts with a solid base, but the more advanced driver-assistance features are spread across the higher trims, so you should compare equipment carefully before choosing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 484 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,135 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $34,135 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,528 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favour, which can make the Outlander easier to shop now than it was a year ago. For a future seller, though, it also means you may face more pressure on resale if the model continues to soften relative to its earlier pricing.

Because the current average is already at the low end of the year-round range, there may be less room for further price erosion than there was before. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should be better positioned when it’s time to sell.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a four-star rating in rollover from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Mitsubishi does not offer a full suite of advanced driver-assistance features as standard, but the base model does include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control starts at the LE, while lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability start at the GT grade.

The expert notes also point out that lane centring can work with adaptive cruise control, but it had a hard time keeping the Outlander directly centred on sweeping highway turns. That’s worth keeping in mind if you expect the most polished driver-assistance behaviour.

Should I buy a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.80% compared with last year.
• The refresh matters to you, especially the upgraded cabin tech, improved sound system, and revised suspension tuning.

The bottom line: If you want the latest gas Outlander with the refreshed interior, better audio, and a slightly more polished ride, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re mainly shopping on price, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025’s softer pricing and stronger feature set give you a good reason to focus here first.
