How much does the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 18.05% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 527 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a 6.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

It is a better fit if you value refinement, a quiet cabin, and in-cabin features more than driving excitement. The refresh adds new technology, a new sound system, and suspension tuning that improves comfort, while the cabin remains one of its stronger points. The trade-offs are clear: the design may not appeal to everyone, the third row is cramped, and performance is still sluggish.

The market shows 28.3% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is positioned as a comfort-focused SUV with standard all-wheel drive and a long warranty, which helps support confidence for everyday use. Its refreshed suspension tuning and added sound insulation also point to a vehicle that is meant to feel settled and easy to live with.

From a dependability standpoint, the 2.5-litre engine and CVT are not described as especially exciting, but the overall package is aimed at durability and low-stress ownership rather than performance. Mitsubishi also includes a 10-year/160,000-kilometre limited powertrain warranty, which is a meaningful ownership cushion for used buyers.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about whether you can live with the Outlander’s modest performance and packaging compromises over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The six trims are ES, SE, LE, SEL, GT, and GT Premium. The base trims get the standard S-AWC all-wheel drive system, but the top GT Premium stands out for quilted leather seats, soft-touch surfaces, and the most upscale cabin presentation.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and a CVT. The setup is tuned more for comfort than speed, and the Outlander can feel sluggish when pulling away or merging.
• Safety package: Base models include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control starts at the LE, while lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability start at the GT grade.
• Infotainment: Every Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get a physical volume knob, a camera-system button, USB-C ports, and a wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada gives the Outlander a fuel rating of 8.8 L/100 km combined.

Which 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 6 trim levels: ES, SE, LE, SEL, GT, and GT Premium.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the trim to start with if you want the Outlander’s standard all-wheel drive, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and core safety equipment without stretching your budget.
• SE: Move up if you want a little more equipment while staying on the value side of the range; it keeps the Outlander’s comfort-first character and should suit you if you want a better-equipped daily driver without chasing the top trims.
• LE: This is the first trim that adds adaptive cruise control, so it makes sense if highway commuting matters to you and you want a more relaxed drive.
• SEL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top, especially if you value added comfort and convenience features.
• GT: This is the best-value trim if you want the strongest mix of equipment and safety tech, because it adds lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability.
• GT Premium: Pick this only if you specifically want the most luxurious cabin treatment, including quilted leather seats, the 12-speaker, 1,650-watt Yamaha system, a rear camera mirror, and a head-up display.

The GT grade is the key safety-package step-up, while the GT Premium is the most feature-rich choice.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 527 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.05% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,012 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $34,041 CAD sits slightly below last year's $41,540 CAD.

That drop suggests the Outlander has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face more price pressure than before. If you buy now, you are entering at a lower average price point than last year, which can help limit depreciation risk in the near term. For resale, the strongest listings will likely be the better-equipped trims with the most desirable features and the cleanest history.

Is the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a four-star rating in rollover testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Mitsubishi does not offer a full suite of advanced driver assistance features as standard, but the base model still includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control starts at the LE, while lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability start at the GT grade.

The safety story is solid for everyday use, but the lack of a more complete standard ADAS package means you should pay close attention to trim level if safety tech matters to you most.

Should I buy a 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.05% compared with last year.
• The 2025 refresh matters to you because it adds new technology, a new sound system, and improved suspension tuning.

The bottom line: If you want the most refined gas Outlander in this generation, the 2025 is the one to target because it brings meaningful comfort and tech updates without changing the basic formula. If you are mainly shopping on price, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025 is the better pick if you want the refreshed cabin and improved ride quality.
