Used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale near Newfoundland and Labrador

How much does the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have softened 1.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 195 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an expert score of 7.5/10, it lands as a strong choice if you want a compact car that feels more polished than many rivals. The model’s appeal comes from its quality, refinement, sophistication, safety, and enjoyable driving dynamics, plus the fact that it is available as either a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Its trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped, the technology experience is outdated, and rear visibility is poor. Even so, the Mazda3’s stylish design and fun-to-drive character make it especially appealing if you value a more rewarding daily drive than a typical compact car.

With 33.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Mazda3’s reliability case is helped by its polished, well-sorted character and its reputation for being smooth, quiet, and refined across the rev range. The standard engine is described as plenty powerful, and the car’s handling is communicative, predictable, trustworthy, and tossable.

Its dependability story is also supported by the way the drivetrain and chassis are presented as mature and well-calibrated rather than experimental. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about living with its age-related compromises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: GX, GS, GT, and the hatchback-exclusive Suna Edition are the key trims to compare. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, while GT and higher trims add the more premium feel and features that suit this car best.
• Powertrain: The non-turbo models use a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 191 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, while Turbo models raise output to 250 hp and 320 lb-ft on premium fuel, or 227 hp and 310 lb-ft on regular fuel.
• Safety package: The Mazda3 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and driver attention alert. The manual-transmission test car did not include stop-and-go capability, and lane centring assist is also unavailable.
• Infotainment: Mazda Connect uses an 8.8-inch or 10.25-inch display depending on version. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be used by touch, and GT trim or higher adds wireless connectivity for those platforms. Alexa Built-in is available on GT and above.
• Fuel efficiency: The manual transmission is rated at 7.8 L/100 km in combined driving.

Which 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 4 trim levels: GX, GS, GT, and Suna Edition.

Here's the short version:

• GX: This is the entry point, but it is the trim most likely to feel sparse if you want the Mazda3’s more upscale personality. It makes sense only if your priority is keeping the purchase as affordable as possible.
• GS: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it gives you a more balanced mix of equipment and everyday usability without pushing you into the highest prices.
• GT: This is the sweet spot if you want the Mazda3 at its most convincing. It adds the richer feature set, wireless smartphone connectivity, and the more premium feel that suits the car’s character.
• Suna Edition: This hatchback-only trim is the most distinctive choice if you want the top-model treatment and the most special-looking version of the range.

Safety content confirms strong standard driver-assistance coverage across the lineup, with some features varying by transmission and trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda MAZDA3?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 195 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,419 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $28,434 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,844 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, trim, and how well the car is equipped. Well-kept examples with the stronger feature set should remain easier to move than bare-bones versions.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 safe?

The 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a “Top Safety Pick+” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and five-star ratings in all National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash tests, including rollover resistance.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and driver attention alert. The manual-transmission test car did not include stop-and-go capability, and lane centring assist is also unavailable.

One caveat is that the lane departure warning system can issue inaccurate alerts in narrowing lanes, and adaptive cruise control may slow too aggressively in sharper curves.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds Amazon Alexa Built-in on GT and higher trims, plus the new Suna Edition hatchback.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,718 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,434 CAD average.
• It offers a wide range of configurations in a compact package.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It brings a cabin that could easily be mistaken for entry-level luxury fare.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best all-round pick if you want the current mix of safety, refinement, and updated tech. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 is worth considering if you want the freshest take on the same formula.
