Used 2025 Mazda CX-90 for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-90 cost?

Prices have softened 19.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 423 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 a good car?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 earns a 6.17/10 expert rating, and Mazda’s own positioning gives it a more upscale feel than many family SUVs thanks to its stylish design and premium interior materials.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

It also stands out because it offers unusual powertrain choices for the segment, including a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine and a plug-in hybrid. The trade-offs are clear: the base engine is underwhelming, the technology is unintuitive, and the cabin sacrifices some space because Mazda pushes it back on the platform.

If you want a three-row SUV with a more engaging character than most rivals, this one fits that brief well. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 reliable?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is presented as a premium-feeling SUV with strong safety credentials and a design that suggests careful engineering, but its refinement is mixed. Mazda’s expert evaluation points to impressive ride and handling, while also noting drivetrain behaviour that can feel unpredictable before everything warms up.

The performance commentary also flags unwanted engine surge, delayed response to inputs, and a general lack of isolation from noise and impact harshness. On the cost side, you get two years of complimentary Mazda Connected Services, which is a small ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the CX-90’s fussy drivetrain and technology may be more frustrating than reassuring over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CX-90’s premium feel is strongest in higher trims, while the lower trims use a smaller infotainment screen and miss some of the upscale touches that help the SUV feel special.
• Powertrain: You can shop standard-output and high-output 3.3 Turbo versions, plus a plug-in hybrid. The standard engine makes 280 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, while the high-output version delivers 319 hp and 369 lb-ft, or 340 hp on premium gas.
• Safety package: Mazda’s standard suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims add steering assist for blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: Higher trims get a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, but the native Mazda Connect system is not touch-operated. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, and the system is touch-sensitive only when you use those smartphone integrations.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 9.3 litres per 100 kilometres combined with the standard-output engine, 9.5 L/100 km combined with the high-output version, and 9.4 L/100 km combined once the plug-in hybrid battery is depleted.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is offered in 5 trim levels: GS-L, GS, GT, GT-P, and Signature.

Here's the short version:

• GS-L: This is the entry point if you want to get into the CX-90 lineup with the core safety and driving character intact, but without paying for the more luxurious equipment found higher up.
• GS: This trim is the sensible step-up choice if you want a better balance of equipment and value without jumping all the way to the premium-focused upper trims.
• GT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it moves you closer to the CX-90’s upscale personality while staying below the high-output and luxury-oriented versions.
• GT-P: Choose this if you want the high-output 3.3 Turbo, since it is standard here and adds more performance-focused appeal.
• Signature: This is the most luxurious choice, with the richest presentation and the most premium-feeling cabin experience.

Mazda adds more advanced safety equipment as you move up the trim ladder, including steering assist for blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-90?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still have options.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 423 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.35% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $42,588 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-90's resale value?

The current average of $42,588 CAD sits slightly below last year's $52,805 CAD.

That drop suggests the CX-90 has become more attractive to used buyers than it was a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, you may be starting from a more favourable price base than earlier shoppers did.

For a future seller, that also means the market has already adjusted downward, so resale upside may be more limited unless you own a desirable trim or a well-kept example. The good news is that the CX-90’s premium image and strong safety reputation should still help it hold appeal.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-90 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-90 is a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and the gas-only models get four-star ratings in frontal-impact testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Mazda makes a long list of driver aids standard, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims add steering assist to blind-spot monitoring, emergency lane-keeping assist, safe exit warning, front cross-traffic alert, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

The main caveat is that some of the more advanced assistance features are reserved for pricier trims, so you may need to shop higher in the lineup if you want the fullest safety tech package.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.35% compared with last year.
• It combines unusual powertrain choices with strong safety and a more upscale feel than many rivals.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $40,743 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $42,588 CAD average.
• It is a three-row crossover with excellent handling and a driver-focused character.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger current-market value story and the CX-90’s premium, safety-first appeal. If you are price-sensitive and want a similar driving personality for less, the 2024 is the easier buy.
